Color, Trim, Options Poll

Hey guys I'm curious to who got the exact car they wanted with the factory color trim & options upon delivery. I'm not talking about car should have this mod or that mod, but did you buy the car set up from the factory you really wanted. example Manual/ auto, base, touring sport splash guards ect.
please state what you would of got instead or what you sometimes second guess.

For me, at the time I did not think I would want the back-up camera mirror, but now wish I would have got it. I also wonder how the persimmon would have looked even though I love the grey. I definitely got the car I wanted minus the mirror camera. Oh yeah I can add it, but $1040 installed from the dealer :shakes head:

2011 Pearl white/ Grey int, Touring sport Auto,

Got exactly what I wanted. Sport/Touring with no NAV, 6MT, and the right color. Just had to wait 3 months for the factory order to arrive.

When I first went shopping I wanted the bright(don't know name) blue touring sport package, but since I didn't want to wait and they didn't have the color that I liked, I managed to get a really good price on a 40th.
When i first heard about it, I only liked the exterior (color, painted wheels, brakes), hated the interior, but it grew on me and I fell in love with the uniqueness of it and I am now a proud owner and receive a lot of compliments.

However, almost two years later I am wondering if I should have just went with a nismo for maybe 1-2k more?? The thing I really like about the nismo is the body kit, it's perfect IMO, no changes needed! The rest like the extra performance I can live without since I can get similar numbers with a few bolt ons.

I wanted a fully loaded Z, touring, nav, sport, auto in Blue or black. At the time the nearest black fully loaded was in california and would have cost me another 2 grand or more to ship it to va, the nearest blue was in massachusetts but the dealer didnt want to sell it. The brilliant silver was the only one that met all the criteria and I had to get rid of my dying e46 m3 asap, so I settled with the silver. (The only color I wouldnt buy was Black Cherry)

Really wanted a Gun Metal Gray, but settled for silver. Bargained the mirror cam into the deal as a WE OWE. As for anything else, I am modding it like I have almost every other vehicle I've owned and lovin' every minute of it. I traded in a '10 M3, which I didn't mod and like having my hands on again learning the car. If I had the Autobahn close by, I would have kept the M3. Not regretting the trade at all.

I got the exact car I wanted. I was lucky enough to find it on the lot of my local dealer in March '09.

It's much more simple, or you can say less choice in Canada, we only have three options to choose: 1) Sports Package 2) Navigation+ Sports 3)None

I've chosen (3), it still comes with Bose, homelink.

The Sports package is CAD$4000, so I rather use the $4000 to choose my own style of 19in and use the rest to put a HU (Which is the Kenwood I installed couple days ago), and still have some changes left over maybe a CAI, CharcoalboilCheeseburger or whatever in the future.

I will say I got everything

I was a hardcore Z lover, 2 yrs ago was really trying to pick up a 350Z, then finally opened my eyes to the 370Z and when I really started looking, I was like wow (originally blinded by new model car hate lol)

I was going to give up having just spent 60K on a wedding and then by chance went online..saw this Z in a beautiful gunmetal (Quartz color) with red interior, NAV, 6MT everything and something about "40th Anniversary" lol.

After researching and learning all about it and only 120 40th's made it to Canada, I wanted it even more. Had my eye on the Magnetic Black but then the 40th consumed me.

If back up cam was a factory option for 2010, thats something I would have wanted

Took me close to a year, but found my Blue and Persimmon!

UNKNOWN_370 01-27-2012 11:17 AM

I wanted what I have now but I wanted monterey blue. Like most of everyone else here... the azzholes at nissan don't order them. My back up was gun metallic so I pretty much got the sport pkg & backup camera free along with free delivery from houston. My price was like I ordered a base + auto with mats and ill kick plates+GAP insurance. So I would say that's not a bad deal either. I'm completely happy and everyone loves GM.

canes7 01-27-2012 11:36 AM

I bought exactly what I wanted. Color/options/trim... everything.

It was funny because I had given up the search. My wife found my car at the local dealer and told me to go get it.:happydance:

Only thing it was missing was the illuminated kick plates. Got a little gypped there. I test drove one with them. When they went and got the color I wanted, though, it didn't have them.
