Just ordered FI exhaust today.

I finally put in my order for FI's TDX and high flow cats. Tony is a really nice guy, easy to deal with, thorough, and loves to talk cars. Sorry Tony for having to suffer through all my "last question..." Now the calendar countdown begins. I should have my exhaust early April and I will post pictures and commentary through install. I highly recommend Fast Intentions to anyone wanting to improve the stock exhaust, give FI serious consideration. More to follow.

I wonder how many exhaust FI has sold? Has to be a good bit.

You'll love it. Congrats.

I'm not sure if you're being serious here or not. I assume you were being funny, in which case, I get it and it's funny. But if you were really confused about this, the FI stands for Fast Intentions, not Forced Induction.

Tony is great and their exhaust is great, good choice.

alb84z31t 01-26-2012 07:57 PM

Thanks everyone for your responses. I will definitely update once the exhaust arrives. To LOL1234, the more I think about it, I've decided you were certainly joking, sometimes the irony/ tone doesn't translate through text.

Maybe he's confusing Fast Intentions with Forced Induction?

I believe there is a thread in the Exhaust section about the F.I. production numbers from Tony. Mine was like 183....

I see you chose 12" resonators... I chose 18", I'm just curious why? Did you just want to be louder? I only have stock stereo, so I wanted to be quieter in the cab.

brucelidat 01-26-2012 08:44 PM

I was 398. They are well past 400 now.

Three7D 01-26-2012 08:53 PM

Congrats on the purchase you will be amazed...

No, Tony recommend that if I was not going to installed HFC to get 12" because 18" was louder without the HFC.

TheGreatOne 01-26-2012 11:22 PM

You'll be very happy with your purchase, I love mine. Quality craftsmanship and customer service

Anyone notice, a lot of vendors are named Tony on here...Tony Fast Intentions, tony from Motordyne...forget the other Tony...

I have a 7at... I decided on going with the FI exhaust as well when I'm done with these couple mods I'm in the process of buying and installing.. I'm really struggling between 12" and NON-Resonated. :). I'm not changing my HFC and have an auto. My educated guess would be that it will sound like a manual with a 12" & HFCas far as loudness if I left it non-res????

What do you guys think?

I think so

I went 18" Res with CF cans as you get a bit more sound through them than the SS and 18", so I figured, happy medium (was concerned about cabin noise) but now I feel I could have maybe went 12" but still very happy

Sound is great, If you got 12" non resonated I think you'll get the sound you want. How concerned are you with the cabin noise? Also with SRM your car will sound so much meaner though, what you're looking for...night and day

brucelidat 01-27-2012 12:07 PM

What is SRM?

your right, the SRM makes is MUCH louder. I actually dont like driving with the revmatch on much, to me sometimes it was just too loud. If you want a louder setup, just add the HFC's to yours...

brucelidat 01-27-2012 12:40 PM

Oh! I thought we were talking about a mod so i couldn't figure out what it was.

Not too much... I am dynamating my car for my sound system anyway.

On the auto, downshifting in manual is when the car sounds best. But DRM, "the original auto-only, rev-match program" probably helps making it sound great??? I think when I'm ready to dive in I'm going with a non-res FI exhaust.
