Terrible quality service from Nissan

So about a week and a half ago I got the Key Light of Death in my Z and had to have it towed to the dealership. They covered everything, hooked me up with a loaner vehicle etc. So about a week goes by and I hadnt heard anything from them (like how long it would take for the part to come etc). I finally call the dealership and I get told that my service rep is on the phone and would call me back when she got off the phone....Yeah well that didnt happen. I call again the next day and I get the same response "oh shes on the phone right now but I'll make sure she calls you as soon as shes done" I informed the gentleman that I had been given that response the day before and received no phone call. He was very apologetic and left me his name just in case she didnt call me again. So I end up getting my Z back that night and I hop in and drive away happy....Until I get out of the car and realize the windows didnt roll back up after i closed the door. And then when I walk back to the car and push the little button on the handle to unlock it....nothing. Then when I get back in the car I push the window button to put them down (expecting me to only push it once and it goes all the way itself) and the automatic windows arent working. So i swing back by the dealership and tell them the issues and the service guy told me he wouldnt be able to get it fixed that night because everyone had gone home (not his fault and Im not mad about that). So I said i could leave him with the car right then but then he tells me that he wouldnt be able to get me a loaner for the night. So I drive the car home and park it.

So this morning my roommate wakes me up saying that my car wont start (he was trying to move it out of the garage so he could do work in there) and he couldnt get the hood to pop. So i go and take a look at it and it seems like the battery is dead but I still cant get the hood to pop. The hood release lever feels like it doesnt have any tension so i've been looking at the cable that runs to it seeing if its not connected or something. It appears to be connected but theres no tension. Has anyone had this issue or know what to do to fix it? I was planning on taking it back to the dealership today to get the other issues fixed and I dont really want to have to have it towed there again.

The windows are a super easy fix. Just get inside, close the doors, turn the car to "on", and hold the window up button for like 10 seconds and then press down for 10 seconds. They will then work in "auto" mode again and will go up and down as you open and close the door.

Yep, had to reset my windows Sunday after installing F.E. exhaust and headers.

Cool cool I'll give that a shot once I get the car started again. Any ideas on getting the hood open?

I've always done down, then up. Only needs to be 3 seconds also.

The window reset is an easy fix. The hood thing, you'll have to go to the dealer and make them cover the towing cost.

Mcnasty- for the hood release it needs to be latched correctly to the interior trim. Otherwise it will not get leverage. Chances are you or somepne pulled down that interior piece under the steering column and accidentally pulled the cable and its sleeve out of the retainer. You have to lower the trim and try to push the plastic sleeve back into position.

Once you get it back in, i recommend you ziptie the sleeve from the bottom of the interior trim using a washer so it does not slip back out.

Great suggestion Mr. Kenchan!

So today I didn't have the time to try and reattach the hood release and all That so back to the dealership it goes. My service rep was very apologetic again. Hopefully everything will get fixed properly this time and I won't have to haves car towed out of my driveway...again.

Which dealer are you going too?

As far as dealership experiences go... it doesn't sound terribly bad... it doesn't sound very convenient and nissan typical unfortunately... but it could have been much worse.
