370z or AWD G37 or BMW 335/328

Hi guys,
I'm going to be getting a new car sometime in the next year and need some help deciding. I live in Saskatchewan, Canada and we get snow here from november til march, so I would at least need good snow tires on a RWD coupe. AWD would be awesome but the 370z doesn't offer it (for good reason).

So with considering that I would need winter tires or else an AWD car what do you think I should get?

Hmm, if you really plan onn driving it as your daily driver, either the AWD G or anything Suby.

I'd go with a WRX/STI.

But out of the ones you listed, I'd go with the G I guess.. How'd you choose these four cars anyways?

:iagree:

Or an EVO

Love the Evo but the interior could be built better by a 51400 year old. The 335 is a nice car and with just a tune would blow any of the other 2stuff cars away.

I like the G. I don't know how important having a more unique car is to you, OP, but around here 3 series BMWs are everywhere.

There are Z owners who daily drive the Z in snowy climates, but I don't.

The thing about bimmer is hit or miss reliability and really expensive aftermarket. A high quality nissan part will cost the same as a bimmer junk part. the safest way to tune is through DINAN. A tune from dinan will cost you over 2k. Get 70% of your tuning on jdm cars. Lol.

I would say Evo but if you don't plan on modding and would rather have a more luxurious car, then get the G.

i think z as your only car would not be as fun to own...

leeyeegue 01-11-2012 03:48 PM

I had a G37S, now my wife has a 335i, G37 just wasn't there compared to the 335i in terms of everything lol... I'm talking about quality, ride, etc.

335i has a lot of recalls for injectors, fuel pumps, but apart from those the 3 has been reliable for us. However, if you are over the 4 year warranty, a battery can cost you up to $450 here... Unless u have a way to register the battery, u r stuck with oem.

Z will not do well in snow. STI = way to go.

335xi 6spd ftw

pyrrhus17 01-12-2012 06:55 AM

Everyone hates the EVO interior but I liked it a lot better than the STI's the center consol was a cheap piece of plastic ,Thequality seemed sub par compared to the EVO . I would go with the EVO .

How comfortable are you with rear-wheel drive in winter conditions? Could you handle the compromise or would you feel safer with all-wheel drive traction?

less power= 328xi coupe or sedan

more sexy= 370z coupe or nismo . . . roadster maybe not the best thing for where u live

UNKNOWN_370 01-12-2012 08:41 AM

The evo interior is cheap... but with so many custom shops you can have a sharp looking interior if you invest a grand or two. Overall, the evo offers better technology in there car. A better stereo, turbos that will be cheaper to mod. A DCT transmission that can handle more power than our autos if you go that route? Interior is the only weakness. If you are cross shopping both RWD & AWD. Go with what works better in your climate. AWD. test drive the evo before talking about the interior. You can fix that.

I vote STi. I'm still contemplating getting a new STi sedan
