Must suck to not own a car 4-5 months out of the year.

Some guy from work thought he would try to pass me on the highway with his miata. I laughed, pushed it to the floor, and smiled as I flew by his little red go cart.

Gauge it isn't a matter of owning it as driving it. Could probably get away with buying snow tires and running it but why ruin it with salt and sand?

I want to preserve it not have it be a rust bucket by year 5. And for those that say what if you decide to sell it after a few years of ownership. Winter garaged cars will fetch a nice premium.

It's not bad actually. The Z is a not a dd car for me. Even in the summer I don't drive it daily to work, just here and there. I average about 2000 miles per year. I baby it like no other as far as leaving it in the sun too long, driving in rain, driving in snow, parking close to others, etc.

Well guys I'm off to my Chevy dealer to confront them on my ZL1 order. They will not give me my order # and the official GM site for following orders says there is no reason not to have my order # and my car may not actually be on order as they say it is. See you guys in a little bit.

Z is my DD....so I miss it badly, I love driving it.

Put it this way, I had to go to Home Depot for a chair rail for the babies room...obviously would be more space in my wifes 3 series but I made the chair rail fit in the Z cause damn it was a sunny day!

This winter has been surprisingly mild though, I could have probably bought winter tires and drive it once a week but didn't want to put my baby through that.

i luv shopping at homedepot, but taking my dressed up G there... she is so out of place! next to pickups and vans and wagons and suddenly a modded coupe. it's like wearing sneakers with a 3pc suit.

I guess my thoughts are that in the end you're driving it the same amount of time. I imagine most of you will get a new sports car in 5-6 year time frame anyways. I love the beauty of my car but in the end, so long as I don't drive it in wet conditions in the winter, I think it will last almost as long as a car that doesn't get driven at all :P It's mostly high ways and avenues where I live, so the salt gets pushed off fairly fast after a salting the the roads dry overnight just from all the traffic. GUess it depends on your unique situation.

Also I was just teasing, wasn't be serious >< I can respect you guys wanting to maintain beauty.
