Weird Dent in Roof

1 Attachment(s)
So I found this dent in my roof. I know it is small, but it bugs me. I hope the lousy Droid pics in the attached pdf show up. Is this fixable? Easily?

Thanks in advance.

I think is is an acorn strike.

You might be able to have a paintless dent repair shop pull it out.

We will not stop searching until we find the squirrel that did this. And we will bring him to Justice. You see, there's an old saying where I come from: "wanted dead or alive."

God bless America. :usa:

I like your thinking.

Park next to a golf course recently? That's what happened to my old man's RSX a while back.

There are several oak trees around the parking lot at my office.

mantella87 01-04-2012 12:18 PM

If I could, I would chop down every tree in the world. The gas exchange between plants and animals isn't real. We would be fine.

You can put a band-aid sticker on top of it. ;-)

kenchan 01-04-2012 12:33 PM

where is that exactly on the roof?

if you were local i can push that out for you. :icon17: hahaha. PDR will take care of that. they will pull down the ceilng a little bit from the side, place a suction cup jig on the roof to use as leverage and just push out using regular PDR tool. should take a seasoned pro no more than 10min. :)

It is on the driver's side very near the windshield. Come on out and show me how to do it. I'll buy lunch.

:rofl2:

should be no problem getting access.

check with your dealer when they have the PDR tech come.. usually they are at the dealers once a week or so fixing used cars. :)

FL 4Motion 01-04-2012 12:47 PM

damn, that sucks. I agree with m4 that paintless dent removal place should be able to pull it out.

So, when does squirrel hunting season start in your neck of the woods? :)

kenchan 01-04-2012 12:55 PM

i use to throw golf balls at my old (brand new at the time) civic to practice. :D

neighbors were like  WAT ARE YOU DOING TO YOUR NEW CAR?!!

That's messed up!

Pelican170 01-04-2012 01:48 PM

yup, definitely an acorn hit. That happened to me last year and PDR got it out without a problem. They didnt go the route mentioned above where they go through the side though, this guy used some sort of glue and weird lights to do it...

...prolly the modified flux capacitor metal shaping gun with orbital stun lighting.

kenchan 01-04-2012 02:01 PM

yah, glue pullers work but are pretty random vs standard PDR tools. i use it when i have no access from the back. :)

mantella87 01-04-2012 02:37 PM

When I lived in CT there were acorns everywhere. When I was a kid I'd hit them with my tennis racket at people.
