How do I access the CF slot?
Stupid question, I know, but I can't remove the cover for the life of me. I don't have a CF card yet, but with the music box only being able to rip entire CDs and me not wanting to spend that kind of time in my car just to set up a music library, I am considering this option instead.
So, whats the trick to removing the cover? I'm about ready to have at it with some pliers, but don't want to damage my dash. |
It was a little tough, but I just pulled it out.

ya it just pulls out but it takes some doing

On the m35, its a little difficult to remove. there should be a little gap under the cover, if you can manage to stick a little bit of your fingernail under there, and then pull like hell, it should come out.

Be warned! I just found out the hard way that apparently the software only recognizes the first 512 songs on the CF card. So if you - like I did - went out and bought an 8GB card and loaded it with about most of my collection, you may be frustrated to find out that the list stops 512 songs into the collection... Why any system would still use just 7 bytes to identify a file is completely beyond me. Are we back in the '80s...?

yup this is how it is across the board for nissan/infiniti same thing in my GTR |
iPOD adaptor requires removing cupholder tray. Music box only rips entire CDs and doesn't accept music from other sources. And now the CF player only allows you to play the first 512 songs on a list? Goddamn... I may as well just run my laptop and have it play...
