That looks like the hairstyles in the 70's. It looked like crap then and still does today.

Ummm, the Z is not a Bentley, a Rolls or even a '57 Chevy. These are the things I think of when I think classy.

Are you serious, or posting just to stir things up? :stirthepot:

If you are planning on doing this, unless you have the persimmon interior, I think the mahogany will look better than the tan.

That said... not my taste, but to each their own... one man's meat is another man's poison.

Honestly if any of you are into the stance scene like stance nation, stay stetti, or stance works you would see that class can come from all angles not just from high end cars. You would understand where I am coming from, but this thread honestly got side tracked. I only wanted to ask a simple question if the wood on the nardi classic wheels come in different finishes. Apparently a bunch of narrow minded, middle age men had to come stir up problems with their negative opinions.

I'm 24, got my 370 when I was 23. Honestly I think Stance Nation and their friends do a good job of publicizing exactly what you should NOT do to a car. Some of their cars look really good and make me drool, but some of their cars make me cringe. A slammed S2000 every now and then is cool, but the stretched tires and caved in wheels make deceased Japanese engineers turn in their graves. The Z's have a very developed style, it doesn't surprise me that almost nobody feels a wooden steering wheel belongs in it.

That'll get people to see things your way.
Full of win!

Here is a car from Stance Nation that I actually do love, and it belongs to one of our own members: http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-p...370z-post.html

lol I'm not near middle age anytime soon. Stance Nation's philosophy is Form > Function, yea totally against that for me.

Again, so as stated, class can even come from a Neon? :bowrofl: Let's put some curtains, dildo knobs, nasty negative camber, over stretched tires, and scraping the crap out of the under body. Totally classy. Oh, I bet VIP or "bippu" is another one of those fads like going "JDM"

Narrow minded middle age men...hmm tasteful mods or even stock is what separates the men from the boys.

This is what it boils down too. When your young. You will do outlandish things to your cars, (because you can) and are willing to put up with the short falls that come with it. Being having to work on it daily, making adjustments, fiddling with it. It's the trial and error way of learning. As you get older. You become more conservative, and put more thought into your mods. The reason being is that you want to do the mod only once with out having to do it over and over to get it right.

Give him time to get it out of his system. He'll come around. ;)

Narrow minded, middle age men have come to their opinions through years of observations and experience. Those mods look like crap. You will thank us later for telling you that grasshopper.
And what the hell is "the stance scene like stance nation, stay stetti, or stance works" ?

im going to retrofit a 1960s sofa into the back of my 370z cause thats hella ******* retro yo. im going to do this **** before anyone else does. hipster points for me.

wayyy cool before you were cool.

Notsud 13 01-03-2012 05:42 PM

by the way, i use to think stretched tires and poking wheels on any car was cool....but that was before i realized i had a brain.

CBRich 01-05-2012 07:56 AM

Everyone has an opinion and you are entitled to your's. With that said . . . I would rather someone drop a gigantic deuce in my car than put that steering wheel in it.

vividracing 01-05-2012 12:52 PM

Wow, I had no idea that people could get so angry over a steering wheel...

Anyway, I can get you that wheel or any other Nardi or Personal steering wheel. I had a Nardi in my EK Civic, and everyone complimented me on it.

Notsud 13 01-05-2012 01:25 PM

Not angry, just voicing my opinions about hipsters doing their hipster stuff.
