Targa top would be an awesome option...
All the options you listed can be taken care of with aftermarket modifications. You would also end up with a unique Z too. |

These threads are pointless, I can a make a huge wish list, doesn't mean its gonna happen... make the list, shop for a car that has all or most of what's in it.
I wan't a pony, can't have everything in life |

however, don't forget we established that were you to set up "r" mode to receive said bj, the black box would record the event and in the event of a warrantee issue, you'd be SOL. Oh, and 2013 Z changes: new shade of gray, discontinue another interior color, change brochure from 2012 to 2013, and remove oil to water oil cooler due to too many folks bitchin about not getting free retrofits. |

I just wish that Nissan would make the Nismo around 50k instead of the current price and give it some options that would actually help it. Not sure what, but not luxury features. Stuff that will make it lighter/faster not luxurious/pretty.

Now notice every car you are dragging into the comparo is $20-30k more expensive than the NISMO. Japan has a leather NISMO????? Then be original and order one straight from japan. You said you are willing to spend 46k right??? Well get a lightly used one for 35k in japan and use the other 11 k and bring it over. See now you'll be the man. So the NISMO has leather. Order JDM NISMO seats. The only thing our NISMO truly needs right now is more power and weight reduction. As far as 1M having more torque. Its a turbo. You are making comparisons that can't be really made under the circumstances. Remeber a base/manual is 32k a base manual sport is 35k. That's pretty cheap for the performance level that matches a 60k porsche. The NISMO and touring are 40k. Earlier you brought up oil heating issues. You know the 12 is now oil cooled right? Though not many changes have occured, the Z has been tweaked for better bump absorption, some engine rasp reduction and in cabin volume. Throttle response has increased a little bit. And when you spend $100 on a pair of K&N filters. The Z throttle response increases to decent levels. " I'm NOT saying there's not room for improvement." But what you want is like 75% unnecessary for a performance car @ the price range. You are completely neglecting price range with the Z. And its been proven in the 90's that the Z won't sell with porsche pricing. If you're so impressed with BMW performance ? You can always throw in a bimmer in your stable. |

How are you going to compare the nismo 370z against the BMW m1 or Audi s4? Lol where is the
logic? |

Nismos focus isn't on 0-60 times. |
:excited:I hear JDM is interested in getting rid of a few used reactors. Maybe they'd be willing to offer them as an option. Should go right along with that new oil cooler.:eek2::tiphat:

I say change the performance division's name. NISMO sounds ghey.

For those who always whine and complain, they should change the title to 2013 (whatever car name) Changes, they like 1M, put it in the Italic part, they want horsepower like a MusBang, ops... Mustang.... then put the Mustang on it.
You like the 1M this and that over the Z, then buy the 1M, you like something a Tercel has but the Z don't, then buy a Tercel, LOL. For me, I just simply like the Z, what the heck I will care what changes it has, JUST DRIVE THE DAMN THING!!!! :icon18: :icon18: BTW, the trollcycle is pretty sexy..... :bowrofl: |

I just hate when people call Nismo, Nizmo. Its Neice-mo not nizz-mo. Honestly, I don't think it sounds bad. I think TRD is pretty dumb. It sounds like an abbreviation. For turd. Lol.
|
BMW is quite smart on this, Motorsport, 'M'.
Such a common word, motorsport, and they make the letter 'M' become such famous in the auto industrial. |
Or you can just call it an eagle......

Here's some clarification:

Not another wish list compare every car that cost a fvck load more to the z thread.
Lord, please strike down the op and give him a firey case of the shadoerps. AMEN |
Meh, I think the 370Z could benefit from:
More extensive use of SMC to lower weight and reduce production costs. Slightly longer wheel-base with a bit less overhang, but over-all longer body by about 2-3" for down-force and visual appeal. A slightly wider track width to match. VQ37 with some refinements aimed at NVH reduction and DI base model. VLSD used. @360bhp A "small" displacement V8 with an oversquare design (think current BMW M3) utilizing DI technology and a Torsen diff on the Sport model for another $4500-5500 @ 400bhp, 4.0L, 8K redline, 290-320tq NISMO package would cost roughly $10K more than Sport and include in addition to the Sport model, a TASTEFUL carbon-fiber track-oriented kit aimed at creating useful downforce, a'la BOSS/ZR1/Z07 instead of the ugly BS it has now, MRC suspension such as the CTS-V and Z07/ZR1 and the Euro/italian cars that rented it from GM. Ceramic rotors. Torsen diff. geared more aggressively. Leather seats would be optional. R-compound tires optional. Freer flowing exhaust, possibly throttle-sensitive as in the Z06/ZR1, 415bhp, 300-330tq. This would cover a PROPER model line-up for the 400Z (4.0 V8 in all but base) and give buyers the option to have the V6 model in the low 30's, a competative V8 model in the high 30's/low 40's, and NISMO owners would truly own a track-oriented car capable of performing well on a track, right out of the box--or put the MRC in "Touring" mode and enjoy on the street for high 40's/low to mid 50's depending on how optioned. It is very do-able at the price-ranges discussed, and a great idea, and pissing in the wind because it will never happen but was fun to type! It would become a competitor for: the base mustang/camaro/Genesis/Cayman/Boxter etc. The 911, base C6/C7 (if LS3 used), mustang GT, Camaro SS, M3 etc. The Z06, 911 GT3, Cobra, Z28 (some would out-shine it in the straights due to the @400bhp), but on certain tracks it would dominate.) |
I wish for the 2013 Z Nissan would make an exact copy of the Lamborghini Aventador and offer it for $30-40k. I would definitely buy that :icon17:

Plus, I can drive it like I own it, and have good confidence I'm not going to piss away going-out-to-dinner money on over-priced maintenance bills. |
Base model needs to step up the game.
Lower seat rails, thinner head liner, thinner seat cushion (for the tall guys), 380-400hp, brembos, oil cooler, flat undertray, less weight. That is all very easily changed. |
If I had a penny for every time this question was asked, I'd have at least 5c right now.

Guess it depends on your build. No problem in an s2k with a helmet, can't fit in a z without dropping the seat ~2inches
