Caution: Frost interior
i ordered white w/ frost interior a couple weeks ago based on the pics i've seen of the frost interior. it looked very light (almost white), which was very classy. when i finally saw the frost in person a few days ago, i was shocked to to see that in person it's a very drab gray, and not white as it appears in pics.
the gray-ish color was so off putting that i was on the phone to my dealer 5 minutes later to beg him to have my color changed. unfortunately, the only interior choice for white is the frost, so i was forced to change my exterior color as well... i now have a black w/ persimmon on the way. so if you've ordered the frost interior sight unseen expecting it to appear as white as the pics, you may be disappointed. ****i should mention that i live in toronto, so this could be something exclusive to canadian Z's**** |
Must be a Canadian Z issue, There's two white Z's with black interior at my local dealership.
|
White is the colour I want and the Nissan website only allows frost for the interior. Hopefully my dealer can get it changed if/when I make my order.

ya, canadian 370's have limited interior exterior color combos, with the white exterior you can only get frost interior in canada, however i have heard of a few people making a fuss about it and have got thier specific car changed to have a different color interior than you are technically supposed to be able to get with the color of exterior they got.

I've seen white with the persimmon interior. I have the frost in my yellow z. I wanted black, but I don't mind the frost. Getting the yellow was my main priority. I think they even call it gray here in the states.

the limited interior/exterior combos are definitely something exclusive to canada.
the main issue here is the fact that the frost interior isn't as light (essentially white) as it appears in photos. maybe the frost interior in US Z's is actually white, but that isn't the case in canada. |
Matt,
I think what you are probably experiencing is the fact that the gray interior is of a cold versus warm hue. The persimmon is a warm hue. Warm hues are more inviting. |

Good choice!!
I have black with persimmon and it is striking, a real head turner. I love it more every day!! |
Good decision to change the colour combo.

We have the white/gray combo, and we enjoy it, but we also live in SoCal where it works versus a location like Seattle (reference is to the weather). I thought it would be hard to keep clean, but so far it has done well...only time will tell.

I think you're really lucky. If you actually received what you were expecting, you'd be upset how easy the leather picks up stains and looks dirty, but the dealer wouldn't help because it's a used car then. Really light/white leather is always a bad idea, and that's why sane manufacturers (not ultra lux of course) don't offer it.
|
Now I hope you don't find the Persimmon leather to be to "orangey" because it's very ORANGE and not leathery-brown at all.
