He's just jealous that he doesn't get to have fun while driving kids to soccer practice or taking the dogs to the dog park.

One of the best cars that a lot of ppl call girly is the Miata. Doors withstanding, its one of the most fun to drive cars out there and those who call it girly are judging it by the looks and never actually driven one before. Thats y i wouldnt take this to heart, some people are just ignorant and if he's ur friend you should know his personality is probably one that like to speak his mind.

Why let something so minuscule affect you this much? If he is a good friend, then stop being butt hurt over something this insignificant. If he slept with your girlfriend/wife then that would be something to get butt hurt over.

Maybe he meant yours was just a girl's car because he drives a WOMAN's soccer van.

To the OP, most people who say things like that are just jealous plan and simple.

I carefully considered this purchase after driving a bmw/audi/corvette etc..

I realize that the Z is an affordable(I say this even though I just spent 800 dollars on tires), exciting, and exhilarating car. My pride was possibly hurt for a second, but on the way home i put the windows down and just enjoyed the exhaust note.

all is forgotten.....

LOL---I love it!!

If you do a quick look at the members' list, or show up to a couple car meets, you'll see this car's buyer population is as "sausage fest" as it gets.

Does that make you feel better or worse about your purchase decision? :ugh2:

Gotta tell you what he said does not make me feel any differently about my purchase. Just kind of caught me off guard when a good friend that drives a base model explorer has the nerve to crack on my purchase of a sports car. Oh I forgot to say in the beginning also he is 6 foot 4 and weighs about 350 so maybe because he can't fit in it maybe he is a little salty!!
I know the next time I ride in his explorer I will ask where all the options are and if he had to pay extra for the turn signals.

He's a friend so I think you need to give him the benefit of the doubt. He was just yanking your chain... pushing your buttons. You should come out to one of our meets in MD or Nova (see the two links in my sig) and see how much sh!t we talk to each other. :bowrofl:
