adios, amigos
in ten minutes, i'll be leaving to pick up one mr. dreamkiller, who is flying up from irvine, CA to buy the Z from me.
i figured i'd stop by and post up a big thank you to the 370z community. thanks to the humorous, helpful, and most importantly, generous folks on this forum. i've been a low-numbers poster, but a huge follower of this community, and i'm sad to say adios. not sure what i'll spend my time doing now that i won't be cruising the forum as fanatically. i learned a ton here. i think the car-head scene is much more balkanized than it used to be, and there's a lot less cross-over among various groups of car fans. the honda guys are on the honda forums, the nissan guys on forums like this, evo, stang, bimmer, etc. it's a trade off... less cross-pollination of people and ideas, but on the other hand, the wealth and depth of knowledge, experience and insight that's easily accessible to all of us is unprecedented. thanks to all the first-time experimenters, the guys and gals who spend time reviewing products for the rest of us to learn from. thanks to the vendors who show love to our community, set up group buys for us, toss us specials, keep us up to date, and feed our addictions, whether they be power, kicks, audio/video, body, or any other mod fever. thanks to the trolls who we love to hate. and most importantly, thanks to AK and the great mods here who keep this place productive and positive. *slow claps all around* catch you guys on the flip side! -b |
but damn, brian!

Cuidate! Good luck on your next automotive venture. Just cuz you sold the Z doesn't mean you can't come around and harrass, troll and annoy us. Lol. J/k. :) Seriously. Just come back n chill with us.
Hasta Luego. :tiphat: |
Hang in there bro...Old mustang guy here who still visits the BMC every now and then!
|
thanks for the shouts fellas. unfortunately, i'm going to live without a car for a while... probably a year or so. i live in the city and walk to work, so the need for a car is very low but the cost of keeping one is very high. when i leave the city (or can't stand it anymore), i will get back into the market.
of course, one of the ways i try to dull the pain of parting with the Z is to immediately shop around for another ride. an AP1 s2000 would make for a low-cost city driver, so i've been idly keeping an eye out for a nice example. i've always toyed with the idea of getting an AP1 or AP2, but the z has always been more to my taste in cars, despite having come from an fg2 si, which was a great car. most likely will hold off on any car for the time being and scoop something i really want a year or two from now. and i will def. drop by the forum from time to time to stir up some trouble. |
if i was living down town i'd get something like a Fiat500. :icon17: ... or not.
