1 quart of oil made a big different

Oil went up to 110 seems high on a cold day (5 degree) and normal driving.

Checked oil and the stick read:

L---|--------F

Add one full quart of oil and now reads:

L----------|-F

MUCH different in acceleration, throttle responses, and oil temp never went past 90 and mileage seems better.

Anyone with the same experience?

VQ motors are somewhat notorious for oil consumption, not like you are blowing smoke or anything that bad, but they still get a slightly bad rep for sucking down oil into some secret compartment within the engine that no one knows about ;)

my 370 was running like **** till the point i found it was burning oil...everytime the dealer top it off and put taper proof tape the car run awesome again....every 1000 miles or so had to add 4qts :icon14: ....

Nissan bought back the whole car, it was a 6 month back and forth hassel, they also made a couple of my car payments...
