XVO looking for Z in the Austin Area

As some of you are probably aware, Fringe XVO is looking to finalize the design for the 370z Afterburner Exhaust Tip, and we need your help! We are seeking any Z with an HKS exhaust system with removable tips.

We won't need the vehicle for very long (hour or so MAX), we just need to finalize the mounting situation. If you are interested or know someone who might be, please let us know. There is a deep discount in it for whomever's car is used. Thanks!

Love the latest design man  Let me know if you can hook me up with a free HKS exhaust, I'll let you do the measurments, and then I'll pay full price for the tips :icon17:

Just ordered an ARK exhaust....Sorry

FringeXVO 06-21-2012 10:14 AM

I know there are a couple...seen them at the Cupcake Meet a while back that took place in Selma, just north of San Antonio. :)

JARblue 01-15-2013 10:29 AM

Any update on these tips? I'm considering a custom exhaust this summer to be done by a place here in town and wondered if I might be able to use these.

FringeXVO 01-16-2013 10:31 PM

Yessir. We should have a test fitting before the end of the summer. That said, I am still looking for a car with an HKS to fit these babys in the next 6 months or so. Don't be shy. Won't hurt a bit. :)

JARblue 01-17-2013 09:39 AM

Thanks for the quick response, Chad :tiphat: Looking forward to the final product. I'd love to come by your shop to see the progress sometime this spring if that's possible

FringeXVO 01-21-2013 07:42 PM

Absolutely possible. :) I'll let you know.

Good thought!

I don't think any of is Dallas guys have an HKS exhaust, 90% have Stillen, the other 10% are FI/Ark

FringeXVO 04-10-2013 10:58 AM

Hey all, still looking for a Z here in the Cen Tex area for a test fit. The project is moving forward.

JARblue 04-10-2013 11:06 AM

Happy to hear

Any chance I could come by your shop sometime to chat a bit?

FringeXVO 04-10-2013 12:28 PM

FringeXVO 04-18-2013 08:25 PM

Bump.

FringeXVO 04-22-2013 04:35 PM

Just heard from the processor and I should have the components in my hands on May 20th. I REALLY need to test fit these and take a few pics with them installed. If anyone with an HKS Hi-Power exhaust is willing to come to the N. Austin area I am prepared to do one of the following: pay you for your time, give a discount on a set of tips, or let you have sex with my wife.
Total install time should be less than 10 minutes. We'll take some pics and eat some food or something. The whole visit can be pretty quick, honestly. Thanks!

grant 04-22-2013 07:41 PM

Well I'm in Middle GA, and if you send me the tips, I'll take pics and measurements and send it all back to you. I have the HKS high power catback.

FringeXVO 04-22-2013 09:04 PM

Thank you Grant, I'll keep that in mind. :)

FringeXVO 04-25-2013 03:07 PM

Bump.

Vichtz 04-25-2013 03:33 PM

I cant believe no one has done this yet. I have Stillen but I would be all over this if I had HKS

Pintsize725 04-25-2013 05:00 PM

If only a G coupe worked for this. I have a local friend running the HKS on his. :/

FringeXVO 04-25-2013 10:37 PM

Would a G coupe not work?

No idea, figured you would chime in if it did or did not.

FringeXVO 04-26-2013 11:21 AM

Technically speaking the tips are designed to fit the HKS Hi-Power exhaust system. If the tip outlet on it is the same from platform to platform then the tips will work on them.

I've tried to contact him to see if he could give me an answer. Still waiting for a reply.

FringeXVO 04-26-2013 07:09 PM

Cool. Thanks! Let me know either way.

FringeXVO 04-29-2013 05:20 PM

Alright, I just spoke with a G owner and thought I should express to eveyone that I am specifically looking for a car with the RESONATED HKS Hi-Power exhaust system installed.

For those of you with the non-resonated variety, it appears that the tips can still be installed onto them though it will require what I consider a relatively minor yet non-reversible modification. This option is being explored with a beautiful white G37 sedan named Lucy, but for anyone else concerned I am still on the hunt for my resonated HKS Hi-Power VQ car. Thanks everyone!

FringeXVO 05-04-2013 10:00 AM

Thanks everyone! I've got my car(s). Test bed for preliminary installed pics will happen on a red G35. Once that is done and goes well I will begin going down the list. Special thanks to Pintsize725 for going going out of their way to help me find a local car!

I will hopefully have the first images up in two to three weeks.

JARblue 05-04-2013 10:01 AM

Great news! :excited: for pics

Cool, was it one from Centex VQ as well?

FringeXVO 05-04-2013 10:35 AM

Indeed.
