I have no experience with the reliability, but I got to drive one years ago and thought it was pretty fun. It has a cult following so I am sure that's one of the reasons why it made the list.

... but they spent more time being repaired then being in use.

OH, well that would pretty much eliminate just about every Italian car on the list. :icon17:

I stopped reading that article when I got the the 89' Ford Taurus. The engine might have been good but those cars were terrible for my experiences with them.

Funny you say that. I thought the 370z and the taurus should've traded places. I think the top 5 is subjectively correct. 25-10 was questionable in how the order came in. Oh yeah and I drive the mustang v6. As impressed qas I was with its power delivery. Its NO Z FOR SURE... but this is inside line. That's like going to my grandma to get a tune up. She wouldn't even know how to open the hood. Lol. I don't think the guys at inside line know either...

Very interesting.....the original VQ that was in the 95 Maxima should have been on that list.... It is the one that one that put the VQ on the map and won more praise/awards for its smoothness etc than any of the later variants, we all know what later variants were criticized for!

Totally agree, the VQ30DE was on the ten best engine list 6 years in a row. This article isn't just about engines though, its the top V6 powered cars, which us probably why it isn't on the list. Surprised the the 350z wasn't on there.
