2010 370z?

So I did a search on Truecar near my area and I found a few dealerships with 2010 Zs...does that mean they are brand new??

If so, is it worth to save a couple of grand getting a brand new 2010 Z instead of getting either 2011 or waiting until December to get 2012?

Also how much of the car value goes down if the car has been made almost 2 years ago but is still brand new?

Unlikely new. Just call and ask mileage.

My car was 18 months old when I bought it with 25 miles on it, and $7400 off sticker.

 super deal.

It's a bit unlikely that these are unsold (i.e. brand new) 2010 models but it's possible...more likely is that these are turned in lease cars or something similar.

At any rate, as with buying any used vehicle, what matters is the mileage and condition - assuming they are in good shape you should be able to make a reasonable deal and save a good bit of money (buying used is almost always superior, from a financial standpoint, to buying new).

Find out where the dealer got it from. May have transferred in from another dealer. May have been a loaner for when a customers Z was kept overnight.

I went to a Nissan dealership out here in San Antonio to ask about a GT-R. While I was there I saw a used 2010 Z touring/no sport w/nav for 35,500. It had 1,500 miles on it. I wanted to say good luck selling it at that price but oh well, not my loss.

Wait and get the 2012. That way you'll have an oil cooler with a warranty.

Has there been anything to come of this yet? I looked thru the 2012 oil cooler thread to learn a little. When I asked the Nissan dealer about it he had not heard anything about an oil cooler being added. Looked thru there system too and the only change he found for 2012 was a paint color change.

Who cares, it's good advice. Might as well get the additional things they're including instead of missing out.

If you are not price sensitive it is great advice. If you are looking for a deal, as I thought OP wanted initially, then the 2010 may be $10,000 less. For that price difference you can buy an oil cooler and just about every mod available.

I do like new though.

It's possible for them to have a new one but probably not likely. I bought my 2010 in July 2010 and they still had new 2009s on the lot. If there are still 2010s out there then I'm sure Nissan has a great incentive offer on them.

cossie1600 10-14-2011 10:02 PM

Sometimes when they are too old, they actually won't have deals on them. For example if you have an 09 now, Nissan probably won't give any incentives on them. It's a way to avoid the dealer from hoarding cars

vettett15 10-16-2011 06:18 PM

fat,

I thought truecar only reports on new cars, but the data is probably only as good as the dealer..

cossie1600 10-16-2011 06:56 PM

I have used Truecar before, it is great. Heck, a dealer offered to beat the lowest price by $500. That's how I got my Cube for $13400 when the sticker was $17400!!!
