ChrisSlicks 09-27-2011 09:58 PM

Ran out of gas after a right hand turn? That's the only time it has happened to me.

nmjaxx9 09-27-2011 10:00 PM

Wow that's not good, atleast you are okay, never heard of this problem strange..

Raidersnfl7 09-27-2011 10:28 PM

Ok let me tell u the experiences with this car. Got the car in 09.10.09 with 220 miles on it. New. had it for one month, found out the ac didnt work. So I took it to the dealer had them look at it. They said the hose Was lose so they fixed it. A month later with the same problem. No ac again so back to the dealer again. than the winter came tho so I just put it off until summer comes. couples days later I hear a weird noises coming tho my transmission. Back to the dealer again. So they replace a new transmission for me. Until now I took the car back multiple times for the ac and it still haven't been fix. They can't fine the leak. Than about a week ago with this problem. Going 55mph on the highway the car turn off. No power steering or brakes. What should i do?

DJ-of-E 09-27-2011 10:52 PM

bad electrical and shitty mechanics who can't identify bad electrical(s).

RunNgun 09-27-2011 11:01 PM

Try taking it to another dealer for repair?

ChrisSlicks 09-27-2011 11:01 PM

Time to open a case with Nissan Consumer Affairs.

cossie1600 09-27-2011 11:11 PM

Pray too, good luck getting any fix from the incompetent people at Nissan

Skeeterbop 09-27-2011 11:29 PM

if you have taken it back for the a/c, would lemon laws apply?

Jordo! 09-28-2011 12:02 AM

It sounds to me like the clutch on the A/C unit might be seizing when engaged, which will stop everything from turning, thus stalling the car. It would also explain why the A/C isn't working properly.

I had this happen on my last car -- I used to refer to the A/C switch as the "Kill Car Button" :D until I finally got it replaced.

This should have nothing to do with the trans, mind you...

Raidersnfl7 09-28-2011 04:37 PM

Been on the phone with Nissan consumers affairs. Hopefully they can able to do something about this situations

cossie1600 09-28-2011 05:34 PM

i would try to lemon it

Raidersnfl7 09-28-2011 05:37 PM

I purchase the car in 09.10.09. U think I still can

cossie1600 09-28-2011 06:11 PM

Probably not, check the owner's manual they tell you the limit and the requirement. If you already have had 5 repairs, you might still be able to do it.

Raidersnfl7 09-28-2011 06:24 PM

Ac been fix 6x and still leaking at this moment. Transmission replace 1x. Call turned off 2x

cossie1600 09-28-2011 06:30 PM

There is a lemon law booklet in your owner's manual, good luck

Raidersnfl7 09-28-2011 06:33 PM

Thank u

ChrisSlicks 09-28-2011 07:01 PM

For many states there are only allowed 3 attempts for a single problem, after that you are allowed to exercise the lemon law and have that the manufacturer or their representative either fix the issue (1 attempt) or replace/refund the vehicle.

For Virginia it looks like the lemon period is 18 months, so you may be SOL in that regard.

Read this in full and see if there are any options for you, otherwise continue to persue NCA.
Virginia Lemon Law Statutes

cossie1600 09-28-2011 07:34 PM

If he had the repairs within the 18 months period, does he still have a grace period on filing the claim?

The way I read it the 18 months was from delivery date. The date could be extended by 12 months but only if the lemon law ultimatum had already been exercised within the initial 18 months.

Raidersnfl7 09-28-2011 11:43 PM

I'm still going to try to push for it

Thechidz 09-29-2011 12:08 AM

sorry to hear this. Why are car dealerships so unethical? serious question...

wstar 09-29-2011 12:22 AM

In most cases it's more a matter of incompetency than lack of ethics. They don't know what they're doing and frankly they have little reason to care. The bucks will keep rolling in regardless, there are 20 soccer moms lined up behind you for service work.

Thechidz 09-29-2011 12:31 AM

my salesman outright lied to me when he told me he would give me full value for my trade in and then the finance department tried to give me 4k less.

cossie1600 09-29-2011 08:19 AM

Yeah. It's like playing dancing with the tards with those people.

Raidersnfl7 09-29-2011 10:59 AM

When I bought my car they tried hit me with 8.6 interest rate and my credit scores is 7.50. I gived him hell.

Raidersnfl7 10-04-2011 01:57 PM

The Dealer tries to say my hks intake cause the car to turn off

BS!:shakes head: Get him to admit it on video.

Raidersnfl7 10-04-2011 03:42 PM

I don't think he would lol. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs and they are working on my case. The agent is trying to put a files together and see would they able to do a trade or a buy off. ( I'm guessing that how u say it)

I would have asked precisely why and how the exhaust would have caused the problem. If they can't answer your question, get it documented..Then, present your case to Nissan Consumer Affairs.

wstar 10-04-2011 08:54 PM

There are all kinds of faults that could be caused by problems in the intake tract. Faulty/damaged MAF sensors, vacuum leaks, etc. A reasonable person would simply find the install problem and correct it for you instead of bitching about it being aftermarket, but still: if he's claiming your intake setup is a problem, if I were you I would double-check that he's not telling the truth.

Raidersnfl7 10-04-2011 11:51 PM

The tech Said bc it's to much air coming in. So i told him, that mean thousand of people installed an intake there car will turn off? He just looked at me and said it can be than walked off
