If you know you are being targeted by Long Island cops then why are you driving with no reg sticker, no inspection and no plate? I live out here on LI as well and between all the carbon fiber and extremely loud exhaust I get plenty of attention. I think you're asking for it dude.

and so are you, and every other kid that put an exhaust and rims on his car. its the fact that cops look for us bc we are kids and they can usually find somthing they can screw us on

I have an inspection sticker it just expired. The reg fell off so i have to tape it back on and ive never ran a front plate on any of my cars. and thats and easy ticket to fight anyway. Im not looking for trouble with those things i was simply stating that he didnt notice any of them. It just so happens that this all happened the time i get pulled over. I never drive around w an expired inspection and no reg

You have 11 points on your licence, but they got the wrong guy. You have an uninspected vehicle, no Reg on the windshield, and no front plate that is required in nys. The cop let you go without any pen to paper. And you complain? This thread can't be serious.

thanks birdman.

the thread isnt serious its just a rant. this isnt the first time ive been pulled over and the cop not give me a real reason that he pulled me over

Man all that, and they let you go with a warning. You are either very lucky or white. A minority in nyc would have had 3 citations already and there license revoked. I say count blessings. New york and new jersey police are the worst in the country aside from cali.

And whoever is talking about there police experiences in the south??? Its totally different down here. Cops are by the book and only get crazy when you do. In ny, cops will beat you cuz they are bored and you are any color that's not white. Any color. Black, latin, arab, indian etc... your azz iz grass in NYS/NYC. I have respect for what police do in 44 out of 50 states. The NY tri state area, new england and cali, police. Huh. I gotta stop texting now because I will greatly offend. The south is known for being racist but to me. The north is more open with it in our police forces.

It's not really about age, though.

Every other person that mods their car to gain extra attention will get it, from everyone including the police.

They're not looking to "screw you" on anything. They've got a job to do. If you want to direct your anger at someone, direct it at the laws themselves and the legislature in your local jurisdiction.

Granted, sometimes a cop goes overboard, but that's the exception rather than the rule.

You know you've got 11pts and you continue to drive without a front plate? yikes. They can pull you for that any time they like.

I've kept my front plate and stock exhaust because it gets me left alone. Sure, the car isn't as pretty, but it's still fast, and I don't get pulled over often.

While I can understand that it sucks to keep getting pulled over for nothing, you may want to fix those easy things before they do get you a ticket. I know you don't like hearing it, but driving round with an expired inspection sticker, no registration displayed, and no front plate is asking to be stopped and harassed. Even if it is easy to get out of the front plate ticket, it still costs time and money to fight it.

Plus, I doubt the police can determine your age if they're just coming from several car lengths behind you. If the guy gave you a fly-by first, ok yeah, then I could see your point. But in general, you never know who or what is driving the car, especially at night.

Ill take car of them. the sad part is i have a mechanic shop on site and could get it inspected right there. and the reg is from lazyness lol.

yeaa your right. I guess screwing wasnt the best word to use.

The front plate isnt a points ticket so im not over concerned about that. ive only got one ticket for a front plate in 5 years. and that was bc i argured w the cop :shakes head: about something and thats all she had on me.

Live and learn. im still young and stupid lol. everyone goes thorugh it.

Oh, well if it's not a points ticket, then you're set. Then you just have to have your belt on and all and it's just a fine. My bad on that one.

Man, I'm almost a decade older, and I'm still livin' and learnin'. :tiphat:
