Lets say u go to a Yankees game. the team is playing pretty well and fighting for a top spot in the division. a couple of the fans are saying, "man we would play so much better if Jeter (lets pretend he's hurt) were playing. seems like that combined with the umps giving us the shaft the last couple games is killing us." They obviously seem passionate about their team, and really enjoy watching them.

Then, all the sudden u turn around and say, "Well in my opinion, the Yankess aren't that good when compared to the Red Sox. pPdroya's a better player, and boston has a nicer stadium. and u guys shouldnt try to put losing the games on a couple bad calls or a couple tools you are missing on the infield. When in reality, your team sucks all around."

Yankees fans then proceed to beat the life out of you and everyone in the stadium cheers. later, when a news team comes to interview you in your hospital bed and the reporter says, "now why did everyone beat u up?"

You look up, tear rolling down your cheek, and simply go, "gee idk... i was just tellin the truth..."

see what i'm saying... you cant just come in the lions den, talk smack, and expect people not to defend something they are passionate about.

Moral of the story: a lil common sense goes a long ways

Well said.

Of course I love my Z, and of course I recognize there can be and ARE superior cars, and also recognize that this comparison is regarding "handling" which is subjective to some degree.

Certainly if we are to include high-tech stuff like the Evo's AWD system then it certainly has some advantages in terms of handling, and it absolutely should, given the level of technology.

But, then there are the actual performance numbers involved in the test which this guy can't seem to get his head around, and he comes back with this "If I got $800 to spend on mods of my choice..." crap that sounds like it belongs on a Honda forum... "$20K in mods and my Civic can hang with a Vette on any race track."

You guys are the ones throwing in mods.

In stock form, the Evo will decimate the 370z around a race track, after the 370z goes into limp mode.

I find it funny that the only people with track experience (me and grant) can have a reasonable discussion, while the people getting worked up are Sunday drivers. It's hard to estimate how a car handles when you don't know it's limits.

Here's "me" talking about modding.

That's not what happened though.

We were talking about who would be fastest in the hands of unskilled driver.
I point out Evo.

I'm told to stop talking about "grocery getters"

Wow, a real autox course? Grant and I actually compete. He knows what it's like on a national level, perhaps you could learn a bi from him, even if you're too proud to learn from me.
