Stupid question

Yes I know this question is stupid but I honestly want to know! When you're cleaning/squeegeeing your rear windshield at the gas station how do you control the water runoff at the bottom of the windshield? There's no groove for runoff so the dirty liquid always seems to pool at the bottom and eventually run off the side of the car. I've been trying to blot the little pool with paper towels but it doesn't work that well. :eekdance:

Keep a microfibre cloth in the car.

I don't use the squeegee my front or rear windshield at the gas station. But I keep a microfiber in my car just in case.

I carry aroud my own glass cleaner and a dedicated microfiber. Most of the gas stations in CA are so cheap now anyway that there is either no window cleaning stuff or the bucket has only water.

Do you bring a small thing of ONR or something then to clean the windshield? Or do you use the stuff they have?

When I'm at the gas station I try to finish up as quickly as possible and get outa there lol.

Any cleaning I need done I do at my house prior to leaving/when I arrive home.

I normally swipe and dry with a paper towel to minimize water run off.

I dont clean my windshield at gas stations but i always press the sponge against the tray to sqeeze out most of the water for my precious cars. Then just have a paper towel ready for the water that runs off

After washing and cleaning the glass, apply a glass sealant. This usually helps keeps the water from drying on the glass, which in turn keeps the dirt from drying on the glass. I never use gas station sqeegee's as you really don't know whats in it. It could have some nasty stuff that can damage your paint. I also do notice that area when washing the car. Dirt and water always seems to puddle in that little channel between the glass and the trunk. At least the trunk lid is aluminum, otherwise we could have serious rust issues down the line.

I also notice puddling around the front wiper area, right at the base of the wiper. it drains after a while, but it does puddle.

Carry my own stuff in the trunk. I would be nervious about using anything from the gas station.

I dry it with it up, and a leaf blower
