I must say, I was surprised to see it on that list. We pretty much guessed right on the mustang convertible, the porsche & corvette :icon17:

I bought it because its a Z. Thats reason enough for me:) Its not the first and it wont be the last. There is absolutly no other car I would consider at that price point, or even a little higher. I sure dont wanna be driving a one in a million mustang, camaro or corvette. I know a guy in a stang aint getting the looks I get:tup: I love everything about this car!

Let's see why I bought my Z....
My E92's oil change (out of warranty) was $400 (oil + reset) - I like my stuff done at the dealership. The car I wanted was an E89, the best price I could find at the time I was car hunting was $54k. Saw my cousin snatch a used Z33, liked it, found myself grabbing a Z34 (with an amazing price tag) and became a sucker for its red interior and calipers. :roflpuke2: AND! AND! Oil change was just $100. I can live with that. Looks, maintenance, cost, performance - its a winner. |

I was working too much and making good money but wasn''t doing much else. I always loved the 370z, the 350z was eh to me. I was reading up on it a lot then went to a friend's bbq where 2 of them had it and I loved it more in person. I figured it was now or never. I could afford it and I was young enough to enjoy it still. When I buy a house in the future, I may never have enough disposable income to get something so impractical, haha. I didn't want to become one of those old men who drive their Porsches below the speed limit. Broke my gf down by talking about it all the time and got her blessing, so I got it. Great blend of looks, affordablity, and performance. I do miss the space and comfort of my 07 Altima 3.5 sometimes though. Wish I could have had both. I am sure after I get her on the track and maybe drop in a mod or 2, I will love her even more.

Drove it in Forza 3 and got a itch to get one for real. The past two Forza releases have generated in me desires for a new car. And within months of those releases I acted on those desires. Let's hope my wallet weathers this upcoming Forza release in a month or two :)

I want to buy the Z, but I cannot find a good damn deal. Getting ripped off at every dealer.
|
I honestly never considered the Z until the 370 came out. I absolutely can't get past the styling of the 350. It looked like the back end was longer than needed. I like the 240-280Z models but not so much the 300. When I saw the first Car and Driver review of it (oddly they didn't comment on oil or brake issues lol) I knew I wanted it for my next car. So when I found out I was deploying last year I decided now was the time to get it. I went to the dealership before I deployed so i could take it for a test drive. What a blast! It reminded me of how my mr-2 felt. I also think i made the salesman crap his pants driving down a nice windy road lol! While deployed I started emailing dealers trying to find exactly what I wanted. Talk about tough, most would return my email with a Z that wasn't even close to what I wanted and all but 1 refused to talk price before I got home. I nailed it down before R&R so that once off the plane i went straight to the dealership and picked it up. I haven't looked back since and it's looks never get old and it is a blast to drive!

i was in the market for a 911c4s but when it came down to it i went with the 370 due to the fact that i think i will have more fun in it. |
i do love it. and i love the fact that im still 40hp up on the cayman s out of the box!
|
I thought for a sec about a Cayman but for the price the Z made more sense. I was also super close to buying an Elise.
|
The 370 was a total impulse buy.
I was actually about to buy a used Tacoma and a new 2011 WRX together. While surfing fleabay one day I came across my Z. I'd always loved the Z cars and already owned a Maxima (which I can't seem to part with after 12 years). <-------I love that damn car. I felt the 40th Anniversary was one of the best looking coupes I'd seen in a long time and said, "Ahh...what the hell". It's been a while since I just stood there and stared at a car. Honestly, I do it every time before and after I drive her. Money well spent IMHO. |

Funny... I thought I was the only one that did that. Every night too, before bed, as I lock doors, I do this. |
It was the closest thing to a cayman r!
I just wanted a n/a rwd and this was the purest sports car in that format in it's price range |
I was drunk with my friends at the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi, Ms and they had it on diplay and I told them i was going to own that car. A few months later on Halloween, I got it.
