It is hard to win here sometimes. If somebody uses the search function, they are accused of Zombie thread resurrection. If they start a new thread they are scolded for not using the search function.

I, like others, am uneffected by high gas prices directly, I drive too little. Indirectly we all are effected, but my biggest complaint is that it is like a tax on the working man. All too often folks are stretched thin and $50/month or more is crushing.

Look, it's all in good fun. It's for a laugh. People take the internets too seriously.

It's a little silly when a person starts a thread about something that's been discussed a thousand times already, but it's also silly when someone bumps a thread that has been dead for two and a half years.

In either case, folks are gonna make jokes about it.

You can hedge yourself against rising fuel costs by investing in oil drilling and refining companies. Exxon Mobil, Conoco Philips, Shell, BP, etc.... That way, as oil prices increase so does the value and future expected cash flows of your oil assets. You can't lose! (Unless the government implements windfall taxes on the oil company profits...:shakes head:)

Given how much money those guys are raking in, might not be a bad thing.

I also agree with "o0javi0o" that, those people who will buy a 370Z, do not care about gas prices. I have never said a single word about gas prices. That's the last thing on my mind. It's like asking a GTR owner if he is worried about 3000 dollar brake job.

I highly doubt gas prices will hit $3.50 by January but I can see it rising may be starting from April-May

I should also mention that, I WILL NEVER drive a hybrid. I hate hybrids with a passion.

3 years ago, I didn't believe gas prices would go above $3.50. I just paid $4.05 to fill up my car :shakes head:
