question for a nissan guruor dealer

I was in a accident had 17K in front end damage mostly body work, but anyway since then I have had a oil leak they can't seem to find and the serpantine belt keeps getting shredded up and making a mess of the engine burned rubber oil ect..

Question is what are my rights? I am still under warrenty and also have my insurance paying for any damage from the accident. I don't want an engine that keeps having **** go wrong, can I demand they put a new one in? What can I do here? Thanks guys

Take it to the dealer, have them look at it to determine what's wrong and then have your insurance pay for it. If its related to the accident then it's a insurable repair and the claim would be added to the accident one.

And by the way...sorry to hear you're having to go through this with your Z. By the way, WTH happened that caused 17k in damage?

OP- Your question is a pretty loaded one considering you havent provided many details about your situation. I am assuming the car has been completely repaired (atleast bodywise)since youre noticing these problems with the car now. Your rights to having additional damage covered will vary depending if you had your car fixed at your insurance company's direct body shop or one of your choice. Before you take the car to the dealer, you MUST give the orginal body shop a chance to completely fix your car if you expect to not pay any additional costs out of pocket(at least in california). Thats not to say you cant take it to the dealer, just be aware any damages found by the dealer would more than likely not be covered under your warranty. As far as asking for a new engine, keep in mind your 17 grand into repairs and the insurance company probably wants to finish your car as "cost effective" as possible so if its not needed...your insurance more than likely isnt paying for it. In any case, good luck with getting situation worked out.

Thank you for the replies. Ya dealership said to bring it to the body shop that fixed it (which happens to be Nissans body shop) then they can bring the car to Nissan repair shop and get it fixed. It must go through their body shop 1st I guess since they did all the work.It will be covered with the accident claim.

I was on the freeway and was cut off by a mom driver! I slammed into her and she went rolling into the ditch 75 yards. No one was hurt thank god. She didn't see me I was in her blind spot.

Here are some pics of the crash. The crapy thing is the engine is dirty with oil and parts of the belt I hope they do a good job cleaning this up.
