yah but you're a white guy, no? :icon17: it's the other types (like me) that get hit.

my rate was like 325 or something for 6months.

Agreed - one of the perks of living in the midwest. Everything is cheaper here.

I saw a 35% drop in all of my insurance with the move to Houston from New Orleans.

I live in California...unless I'm driving a beater...INSURANCE IS BUTT EXPENSIVE!

sonic370 08-08-2011 08:26 PM

yeah but bad credit doesn't make you a crappy driver...........

just another insurance scam.............

it's about likelihood to file a claim, not driving skill. People doing well financially will replace stuff on their own dime, rather than file a claim (to avoid the increased premium)

Tell that to your insurance company, been doing it for 5-10 years already.

Just got my renewal. About $690 per year, which includes a "curb weight to horsepower surcharge" of $105.

I have the last laugh...with my mods I should be paying a surcharge of around $125!

Glad my insurance does not charge me on that.

Erie Insurance. Overall, I can't complain about them. Been with them for probably close to 20 years.

Renewed my coverage Friday 6 months for 605.00.
But its just basic coverage with uninsured added and towing.
Does this seem about right. And why do they run
a credit check on you when its the law to carry insurance anyway.
You have to make the payments or its a fine big time here.

They run a credit check because people with good credit are historically better at life in every way. Driving included.

That isn't bad. My Infiniti G20 costs me about $80 a month for about the same coverage. 25/m/unmarried. I do live in La though, which is the #1 most expensive state to insure a car in.
