Never take your car for granted
I just wanted to make a general comment nothing earth shattering.
We drive our 370's all the time are when ever time allows. and its easy to take them for granted or get use to them. Anyway let me get to my point. My car had been in the shop for about a week and in the mean time my rental was a Dodge Dakota Truck. So the first thing i notice about the truck of course is how quite and smooth the ride is, for a truck anyway. But slow as xell. Let me cut to the chase. So after driving this truck for a week i get my beloved Z back today and it feels like a million bucks. Well built, tight, fast and fun to drive. Sorry to ramble and hope you catch my meaning. I guess you just have to own one to know one................................:driving: |
Awesome! Great to have your car back I'm sure.
|
I feel you I live in Chicago and when we hav those long winters my z has to b in the garage with it's cover so I miss it so much then and can't wait to drive it so I know what you mean =)) gotta love the car

yep, hibernation does keep you from taking your Z for granted, that's for sure. :D
good to hear your car's back sonic. :) |
Had mine at the dealer body shop the first week after I bought it so they stuck me with an Hyundai Elantra wagon :shakes head: I think it had around 6 or 7 hp at least it felt that way...instantly had an awesome appreciation for my Z. When I got it back I told them to burn the elantra and next time I want a Z or GT-R for a loaner :p

The 370Z is pure sex! It is hot, loud, and rough!
|
thanks kenchan glad to have her back..... good as new.
|
I had to drive a Pontiac G5 when I flew over to New Mexico back in March. I wanted to cut a hole in the floor boards so I could Flintstone my way onto the highway. I couldn't wait to get home to my Z
|
Glad to hear you got your ride back Sonic! Remember that feeling!
|
I get that fresh reminder every time I hop in a rental Yaris....:ugh2:
|
I always beat the snot out of rental cars! That's why it amazes me when people are willing to buy 'em!
|
i hate rental cars.
|
i feel ya man. my BMW was gone for 8 weeks getting repaired. they gave me a chevy impala for 8 weeks. going from a brand new bimmer to a low PKG impala is not fun.

I have owned cars that have had the crap beat out of them but were maintained well and they were great cars. |
There is nothing wrong with doing doughnuts in a 370z and burning the tires off of it. Or what ever it takes to put a big smile on your face!! The Z usually hits the spot either way.....

I have 2 comments on this topic...
1) Yes, being away from Zena was tough. We were on a week long vacation, and I missed her so much. I drove her right away that night we got back.... lol... All I had to keep me company (car-wise-speaking) was my smartphone and you guys on this forum!!! :) 2) However, not all rentals suck. We did have a WHITE G37 as a rental, and that helped fill the void somewhat ;) |
My DD is a Automatic Versa, if that was my only car I would blow my face off. The only thing that keeps me going is knowing I have a beast in the garage LOL

and i get back in the 370 my list of needs for the 370 is a lot less than it was. |
Also all rental cars smell the same huh? I paid the $39 insurance fee and drove that versa like I stole it!
