"Just Married" window paint

Has anyone used any type of 'window paint' or soap to write on your windows?

Google told me options like soap, tempera paint, shoe polish, window wax etc etc...

I was wondering if anyone has actually USED any of these on their Z. I dont trust opinions of people who used shoe polish on a Dodge Caravan who say "Yea it didn't effect the paint" as they pull into Joe Blows Car wash.

I need/want to write JUST MARRIED across the back of my car next weekend.

Use a permanent marker in white on the glass. This is what towing companies use to mark cars. You can remove it using a razor blade and soap.

You should be able to find water soluble paint that you can use. I have used something called Glasswax which you can sometimes find in supermarkets and grocery stores as it comes off fairly easily, without the need to use anything other than soap and water.

i tried the white window paint marker from staples...once for autoX when i didnt have my magnet #'s and when i cleaned it off... little white specs that had dried the next day got all in the paint where the surface wasnt 100% smooth..... i had to wax and wax and pick with my finger nail to get it all out... but this was on a black car....

White shoe polish. If memory serves me right, they used to use it at the drag strip I went to years ago to mark your bracket. Came right off with water.

Thanks for the input guys! I will see if I can find some Glasswax or white shoe polish! I;m not too sure about the permanent market and removing with a razor...

Yup, I'm getting married. Decided to buy myself (I mean 'us') a Z just 3 months before the big day :) Instead of a limo, we'll peel out in the Z.

Congratulations. They sell a wash off "just married" paint. I used it on my buddies car years ago. Can't remember the brand, but it exists.

How about getting a sticker?

If you just want white, use shoe polish. It's fine on glass, idk about on paint.

There's paint pens that most impound yards use, and it comes off with a razor blade. Absolutely no damage to the glass. You can also write on the paint, and it washes off with a regular car wash.

I've used the uni POSCA markers extensively, and they're great. One thing to be careful of though, is writing on a hot surface. It'll "cook" the tip of the marker. On the POSCA markers you can just pull the tip out, flip it over, and put it back in. By hot surface, I mean glass that's been in the AZ sun all day in the summer.
