Thoughts on "370Z" side decal?
I've seen several Z's with a variation of this decal, most of them chicane yellow with black decal. I was just wondering what you guys think of it? I kind of like the look but I'm not sure if I would regret putting it on....

Cough, cough.....

That sticker further supports the "wannabe Porsche" stereotype.
|
While the above decal does pay homage to the old Carrera stripe, the Z does have its own history of rocker stripes. You can always peel it off if you hate it.
You could also peel it off if others hate it, but then that would seem a little pandering. |
It does kind of scream "look at me" but the design seems to fit the style of the Z.
|
Heck it's only about $45 on ebay, so it's not like you will lose a lot of you don't like it.
Personally, I think it takes away from the nice lines the Z has. |

Instead of people saying we drive the poor man's Porsche, they can now say we drive the poor man's Porsche RS :rofl2:
|
This was actually a special edition vehicle over in the UK that included the graphics and it only came in yellow.

Oh, and not a fan. |
Put some louvers and 24" spinners and you're pretty much good to go... :wtf2:
|
I completly agree with the strong resemblance to the RS, but it's not like it doesn't have a connection with past Z's. I think it would look pretty cool if Porsche didn't already do the retro thing first. Personally wouldn't do it though.

I like how Top Secert done there's. I'd could go for that.

I personally think it looks good but I would not put it on my car just for the reason stated above. |

Add some Angel Eyes too and your Z will be a further tool to call attention to yourself and say "look at me".
|
I like them. In fact, I am going to install something similar on my Z soon.
Do what makes you happy, and don't worry about what others may think. If you change your life to please strangers, what have you accomplished? Personally, I like rocker stripes on some cars, including 370Z's (love the euro-only 370Z GT and its stripes!) A Porsche does look good with them, but that doesn't mean that NO other car can rock them. Cheers, Kent |

No, gross.

sorry man... no for me. Ruins and detracts from the sexy lines of our car.
Face it, I think you just like it because of the color and paying homage to the hawkeyes, eh, fellow Iowan? ;) |
To each his own ;)

I like the way it looks, but I hate the message it sends. There's that more subtle stripe on the "GT" model they have in Europe... which also looks more like the classic 240 pictured and is similar to Top Secret's car. What about something like this, but with 370Z instead of the GT Edition moniker? http://www.motorcarhome.com/wp-conte...w-Pictures.jpg |

The car looks great without decals.

This is my car:
http://forums.nissansportz.com/uploa...5_77_87383.jpg As said in a previous post, the UK yellow cars were a limited edition and the decals came with it. I hear what you are all saying about the Porsche aspect and I thought the same. When I first took delivery of the car I almost removed the decals. But I'm pleased I left them on, I love them now. It's funny, I still get people coming up to me asking 'is that a 350Z?'!! |
^Even though it's from the factory I'm not a fan. I would have it removed but that's just me..
|
ummmm... no
