Synchro Rev added?

This may already have been addressed but can the synchrorev feature of the tranny be added to base/non sport?

shabarivas 04-28-2009 05:23 PM

anything can be done... but its gonna cost a lot... you will need sensors for each gate and a sport ECU. Please post findings :)

I would bet that entails a whole new transmission...

shabarivas 04-28-2009 05:40 PM

Oh yea... i dont know if it would need THAT much... but just get the sport option... and if not... just learn to downshift... its not that hard lol

caj77 04-28-2009 06:35 PM

Hey, thanks shabarivas, I learned how to drive a manual transmission a few 911 Turbos ago.

Im just wondering if all the information/guts are already there and they just have to make a few changes. I am wondering if Nissan would really manufacture 2 different manual transmissions...I cant imagine they would...

shabarivas 04-28-2009 06:55 PM

I mean.. then why do you want the rev match? And no nissan would be retarded to make 2 different trans... there was a thread about this earlier... it basically said you need a bunch of gate sensors some harness and a different (or maybe differently programed) ECU

tru_Asiatik 04-28-2009 08:27 PM

syncrev is one of the resons the "sports package " is $3000
most people forget that
thats why its a great deal if you think about it

ChrisSlicks 04-28-2009 09:12 PM

The majority of SyncroRev is fancy software. With the appropriate ECU and sensor input from the gate sensors it should be possible.

The question is where are the gate sensors exactly?

As sensitive as Nissan M6 transmissions are, I would not suggest this huge project. :twocents:
