Moving from GA to PA .. does the Z fair well in the snow ????

So I'm moving from Georgia up to the Pocono's and I have no experience driving on snow, ice .. etc ....

I'm thinking of trading it in for a FWD car that is better on gas ( traveling salesman). Can anyone share their wisdom or experiences with driving a Z in winter conditions. I really appreciate the help !

Why suddenly all these snow tire threads today?

Not very good in the snow. My motto, when it snow, the Z don't go. My '03 Accord coupe was much better in the snow. Keep the Z and buy a used Subaru for snow days.

I agree, in the North East it might be easier to invest in a DD beater for the snow. Some years you get lucky and it doesn't snow very much, and then out of no where you'll get like 10 ft of snow.

The Pocono area can get some snow ;)

Honestly, with being a traveling salesman, I would look for an AWD or 4WD.

The Z can do okay with the right tires but any kind of snow buildup on the road or in parking lots could make clearance an issue.

Good luck...

AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA... the Poconos, the east coast aspen??? my cousin lives there. You might as well trade in your Z for snow dogs and a sled or an all trak. I left NY cuz I couldn't deal with blizzards anymore. Poconos is like 3x worse than NYC. You will drive your Z in the summer only bro. Buy another vehicle or trade. Good luck dude.

I garage mine from the first snow until after a couple of good rains after the last snow in April.

The Poconos are just a few minutes from where I live. They get more snow than the surrounding areas because of the mountains. Measurable snow can start in October, and last until April. The main roads in the area (380, 84, 80) are terrible and often icy. Sell the Z or get a winter car.

bye bye fellow georgian.

I don't drive my Z in the rain, let alone snow.
