Dead ECU (warranty)
Steering lock (paid for, but was reimbursed)
Both front hubs/wheel bearing (out of pocket, for parts)
Clutch, both master and slave cylinder (out of pocket)
and now both CATS are done, doing some high flows in the spring

So the CSC and the Master have both gone again...well last week.
Currently at 268xxxkms, lol

Hello.

I'm a 370Z owner (2010).

At a last article of long time ago, I saw your thread saying you had driven more than 258,000 km.

It's amazing !!

then can I ask..

1. How many every miles have you changed the engine oil?
2. What engine oil do you use?
3. How long miles have you drven till this time?
4. How's your 370Z going now?

If possible, your answer please ^^

Thanks !!

I change it with Redline every 7500kms, give or take. I'm now at 288xxx and am leaving on a 6500km road trip Saturday. It runs great, I do go through about a liter of oil per change, but whatever...the only real problem has been with the CSC as most guys on here have had. First CSC change go aftermarket and you'll be fine.
Drive the car and enjoy.

I think that's all.

nope fuel sending unit has gone a couple times, still pumping no problem, but not reading right.

I apologize I must have missed this question while back.

I just hit 91,200 miles. The car is running great:tup: I have yet to have any major problems with it. I take it in about every 20k miles to get everything checked over at my local Nissan dealer (oil and trans flush on my last visit) surprisingly there are a few guys there that know their stuff and are not trying to rip me off or make me buy something every time i go up there.

I currently using Pennzoil Platinum Full Synthetic 10w30 and change it about every 4k miles

felix0121 07-14-2014 02:36 PM

In my case, Nissan Ester oil at every 5k. Is it too late to change?

Honestly I'm not sure. some of the other guys around here would be better suited than me to answer that question.

Change to another synthetic? Shouldn't be a problem any time. However, the Nissan Ester is a quality oil, albeit expensive. If the $$$ isn't a problem, I wouldn't bother switching if I were you.

Change oil change interval (OCI)? Are you doing it every 5K miles or kms? If you're doing it every 5K miles and wanting to switch to 7500 kms, that is equivalent to ~4660 miles; you might as well stick to 5K miles. If you're doing it every 5K kms, then you could probably go a little longer. If you really want to know what OCI you should be using, then your best solution is to send in a sample of your oil to Blackstone for a used oil analysis (UOA). They will tell you how often you should be changing your oil based on the actual oil you use.

Thanks for the info. Just before I placed an order for a sample kit of the Blackstone.

(I meant, every 5k miles for the Nissan Ester Oil)

This video explains why if you really love your car you will drive it. No car can have a soul unless it's driven hard and often.

17,900 in my 09 nismo.

gbrettin 07-20-2014 10:22 AM

If your car doesn't have over 100k mi you probably shouldn't post in here. I'm not directing that at you specifically whoady. This thread can be useful for long term 370z ownership.

ZeeBabar 07-20-2014 12:20 PM

Agree, how many have over 100k miles and how is the dar doing?

1325 07-21-2014 06:34 AM

June 2010. ~76K miles. Only issue since has been a dead battery.

paratrooper 07-21-2014 06:55 AM

My '14 I bought 3 months ago just rolled over 1k because I normally drive my 1994 Ford Ranger to work and back... but now it has become my daily driver. RIP danger ranger. I'll now be putting 42 miles each way on her until winter, but I can say I'm not all to sad about that :)

What are you going to do with the Z in the winter?

She will live in her heated garage and I'll buy another winter ride, most likely a cheap dodge Dakota or something of the sort.

I realized how much I really enjoy driving the car so I don't have any interest in buying another 2nd vehicle at the moment. That opinion might change when I quickly hit 5k or so on the odo.

ZeeBabar 07-23-2014 12:54 PM

Buying a 370z and storing in the winter is like having a beautiful bride and not having sex all winter because it's chilly in the house. Cars and brides get old, make the most of them while still is style, DD every day. I can' imagine storing mine for 3+ months.

There are members here from Canada who daily drive. Yes, you my get dirt on the car but as long as it is not snowing and the roads are clear, drive it!!!
