Buying New Car.

Im car shopping right now for the 370z and i'm not sure if i should pay the extra $3000 for the sports pkg. Does it show up on insurance and could it raise my rates? How much did you pay for your 370z? I live in Dallas and they don't have many in the dealerships' inventory.

THe insurance company will probably not know if you have a sports package. THey go by vin numbers and the sports package is simply a add on option.

When I called my insurance company to get a quote on my Z, all they needed was a VIN number and that was all. They didn't even ask for specific model or options added on.

I personally think the sports package is really worth it if you are not going to mod the living hell out of your car.

Sports package prevents the ol' peg-leg, and that alone is worth it imo.

Sport package is well worth it not only for the style on the exteior but the LSD is a nice add on! aka BURN OUTTTTTTTTT haha

Sports package is definitely a worthwhile option.

Depending on your company, that option doesn't put the 370Z in a different insurance class than the base model.

say yes to sports package. otherwise you will regret later unless you're going to get bbk's and wheels and lsd and cool later.

The sports package is a most have option.

Very much a must have. In regards to insurance, since it is not a "go fast" option, it doesn't jack your rate up.

A Non-Sports package Z wasn't even a consideration for me. I wouldn't buy a base non-sport.

get it.

The insurance will go by the VIN of the car.

I went without sports, and I effing love this car. It's not necessary for the enjoyment of the vehicle.

That said, if you want it, 3k isn't a huge sum, and I doubt it'll have any impact on the insurance costs.

Oh yes, Kenchan, I live in a world of self loathing because I don't have pretty wheels, a spoiler, SRM, better brakes, and an LSD. Gawd, I just hate that car. :roflpuke2:

I would have to say that the Sport Package was hands down the best option that I've seen available for a vehicle in some time. Trust us when we say that you will not regret purchasing your Z with it on there!
