Going for the World Record Can you match me

2009 daily driver with sports package. i driver it normal no drifting or anything
and i can afford a new set of tires. but I've just went over 25,000 on original
set of Bridgestones and still have plenty of tread life left.. I'm going for 30,000
Anyone else getting this type of useage out of the Bridgestones??

c41006 06-27-2011 09:00 PM

and I thought I was doing good getting to 16k on my original tires

Jowe 06-27-2011 09:06 PM

I just changed my rears at 27,800 miles, front ones still have some tread left.

Chriz 06-27-2011 11:26 PM

A friend went to 30k with the same re050's on a 400hp 335i, with 2 autocross events. they pretty much looked like slicks by then

Boost_lee 06-27-2011 11:30 PM

I'm almost at 20 and I still think I got a ways to go. Don't know about 30k though...

ZCarMan 06-28-2011 05:05 AM

15K for me, no daily driving but couple track events, two caravans to ZDayz, multiple Tail of the Dragon runs, trip to Z Nationals.

TypeOne 06-28-2011 10:34 AM

I'm @ 25,800 miles on my stock front tires. I'll probably need to change them fairly soon but they aren't that bad.

Rears were done for @ 24k.

Mt Tam I am 06-28-2011 10:39 AM

At 6K I was at 3/32 rears, 6/32 front. I hope to get 8K out of mine. Michelin PS2's are the next plan.

CrownR426 06-28-2011 11:24 AM

Grasshopper I am at 33,000+
2 summers and 2 winters.
Daily Driven.

You's a long way to go.

370Zsteve 06-28-2011 11:27 AM

Wow. one guy gets 30,000+ and another only gets 6000.

I'm almost at 10000 miles on my OEMs and they look fine.

bluelion 06-28-2011 11:46 AM

i'm at 12k. i had these same tires on my previous Speed3, and i changed them at 25k

elmz 06-28-2011 01:25 PM

I'm at about 24k on the stock tires. They still feel quite good, although I should change them soon.

kenchan 06-28-2011 01:40 PM

you guys must be driving on water a lot or something. :D there is no way in hell i would hit 10K with the stock RE050A (non pole positions). those are like 140AA, no?

well i do live in houston area....and this is the time of year where we get isolated showers almost daily......(although that's not the case so far this year)

Brazilbro 06-28-2011 04:45 PM

You must have really smooth roads where you live. I got 10k outa mine.

Thats the truth, this year has been well different in South East, TX and the North East area (Dallas etc etc). Hardly any pop up storms and hot as Shi*t early....... I got 24k out of my original tires.

Nikon FM 06-28-2011 05:59 PM

1st set: 22k miles out of OEM
2nd set: 20k but rears need replacing due to initial bad alignment/camber set up…... Hankook V12s

shadow2k 06-28-2011 11:02 PM

I'm at 25k mi on the Bridgestone's. I imagine they'll be fine for quite a while still, plenty of tread left. I drive pretty aggressively, I just don't ever break the tires loose.
