Tell me your opinions of the 2010 3.0 z4 compared to the 2010 370z. Looks, performance etc. thankyou

Kinda odd and hard to compare unless someone here owns both. Other than that, I'm pretty sure most of us own a 370z only and only test driving a "smidge" with the BMW Z4. You get the same result vice versa if you go to a Z4 forum as well.

I'll tell you what I told everyone else, test drive both of them and see WHAT YOU LIKE MORE.

Of course the only other thing is maintenance is cheaper on the Nissan...but you don't get the 'OMG ITZ A BMW" factor with the ladies.

You get the "OMG ITZ A PORSCHE.... I think..."

I've driven an older Z4 with the 3 liter engine, and it was a lot of fun. BMW's clutch and shifter feel is better imo, and while both are gorgeous cars, I think the Z4 is slightly prettier and a little rarer.

That being said, the Z is most likely faster off the showroom floor and has a better enthusiast community imo. It's also cheaper to maintain than the Bimmer, which only matters if you plan to own the car beyond warranty.

I don't think you can go wrong either way. Both are gorgeous sports cars that will make you smile from ear to ear.

We have a Z4 Sdrive35i, there is no comparison of the two cars. The Z4 is a solid feeling grand tourer. Its probably faster both off the line and in overall acceleration than the 370, but the 370 is a much more livelier, fun to drive, satisfying car from a pure drivers standpoint. Not to mention it was half the price of the BMW. My wife loves the BMW more. Its still a girls car, even though it is more masculine now.

Speaking of the Porsche thing, the guy who delivered pizza the other night when he saw our Expedition in the driveway asked me if he saw me towing a Porsche race car the previous day. I said "Yes, but it was a Nissan"

A couple years ago I got to drive a Z4 for a few days, so it was a couple model years back. It was a decent, fun little car, but not as confident-feeling as the Z in terms of road handling. Also, I hated the view from the cockpit. Something about your head being too low and the hood too long, etc. It was really hard to be comfortable knowing where the front corners of the car were, e.g. when parking or coming close to a curb in a corner. Maybe I would've gotten over that with more seat time though.
