In all seriousness aren't the headrests designed to help mitigate whiplash in rear end collisions? |
I think the seats are alright. they're not the greatest ever, but by no means are they horrible either.

I found the seats were more comfortable on my thighs if I raised up the rear of the bottom seat cushion as high as it would go so I was sitting on more of a flat surface.....instead of having the back of the bottom seat cushion lower than my thighs. This made a rather large difference in comfort for me, as the side bolsters don't bother me quite as much now...

My base seats are a bit too narrow and a bit too firm (or insufficiently padded). I don't think it's a matter of price though, as my wife's Prius seats are much wider and infinitely better padded and more comfortable. But I have no real problem with them. Got them reupholstered with beautiful red and black Katzkin perforated leather.

My DD is a G Sedan and sports seats are more comfy there, I found base Z seats to be nice but lack the recline adjustments and I felt a bit uncomfortable in thighs area after some long drive. Got those redone in leather with some extra padding seems to be ok now.

The seats are too wide. I wish they were narrower.

I like the Z's seats. Or at least the ones at the dealership. I used to love my RSX's seats, but now they aren't so much comfortable as annoying during spirited driving. I would liken them to a failed compromise between sporty and luxury. The Z's seem better. All around. |
