Automatic Mirrors
 

Hello, my 350z that i used to have had 2 cool features that my new 370 does not, they are both regarding the mirrors. First was when placed in reverse the mirrors would point to the ground to aid to locate the kerb, and the second was when i started the car the mirrors would unfold, and locking the car folded them in, i presume its possbile and i dont see why Nissan would have taken it from the spec, does anyone know if its a fuse to get these working ?

you say you're from the UK correct? i believe in the US, none of the 350z's had this feature. however, there is a module you can install to get the mirrors to tilt when the reverse is triggered

Thanks for the quick reply. I forgot to mention my 350z was a japanesse import, at the time in the uk I got it £6000 cheaper..

How difficult is it to install this module?
My Googling revealed various install notes from other vehicle types that required removing all sorts of door panel/trim pieces.

When you say your 350Z was a Japanese import, did you go to Japan, buy the car, and have the car shipped, or did you go to your local Nissan dealership and buy? All 350Z's were made in Japan....

and yes, i'm also curious about this, regarding the mirror tilting and folding in feature.

In U.K. alot of "Grey" imports,some even bought LHD from Belgium,for cheaper price...very strange U.K. allowed LHD to reg to use on it's road...

p.s. are the KP Tech modules the only way to have reverse tilt mirrors?? It's a shame as this comes standard on a lot of japanese cars these days.

I just ordered the KP Technologies Deluxe reverse tilt module that does both mirrors.

I hope to do a write up when I do the installation.

i want this!! Ive been adjusting mirrors everytime i reverse back, pain in the butt

Dang, I could have really used the feature this morning. I came this close > < to the railroad tie that we use to ourline our parking lot. I was a wee bit crooked backing in and didn't realize it.

I just ordered the Deluxe :) I'll try and post vids/pictures if I get the chance. When I had them in my Acura they were life savers, can't wait to get that feeling back :D

What's the shortcoming with the little joystick on the driver's side door?

It's too slow while you're trying to fiddle with your stick ;)

P.S. This module is NOT compatible with a 2016 370z. I'm going to contact KP Technologies for support.

I just set the pass mirror down a little to begin with, it's not they're small or anything.
