I won't put in a post how fast I have driven on a public road. You never know when Big Brother will be checking you out, and with a written confession, charge you with speeding and/or reckless driving. I would rather be paranoid and safe then paying a big fine and losing my license.

I once hit 71 mph, but swiftly cut it back down to 70. It was crazy.

So you admit to speeding! Cut up your license now please. :icon18:

I think about 180 in the s2k. Speedo was off and read over 200

This was on an actual closed course, I'd have to be more of an idiot than I am now to do that on a road.

That would be mildly scary in an S.

140+ driving a buddy's 06 Gti (incredibly stable at that speed)

Did you have a S40 prior?

UNKNOWN_370 04-07-2011 08:09 PM

140 in my 370z, so far I've only owned it 12 days.
165 in my old rx 7
160 in my old 87 GN.
I will break my own record as I intend to make my Z a 180mph car. I intend to drive and hold it at 180mph. Woohooo!!!

OK, if we are going to go there, around 600ish MPH in an RC-135 (a lot bigger than the Citation X and full of a lot more equipment LOL!)

155 in a Hertz ZHZ Vette

140 on my 1989 GSX-R 750, in 1989 (when I was young and stupid, or is that more stupid)

Can't say in my G37 as the statute of limitations is not up on that yet.

cfweber 04-07-2011 09:51 PM

this is my fastest car so far

Honestly, it's the acceleration for me, not the high speed

the lateral acceleration, too

:driving:

Jordo! 04-07-2011 10:27 PM

In my old SC'd Celica, over 140.

In the Z, only over 120 or so.

On a dyno... :ugh2:
