When i traveled in vietnam last year, i saw a Toyota Camry for $90K. Dont worry though because i saw customers carried their suitcases with $90K USA COLD HARD CASH and paid for the car on the spot.

Other than expensive cars,we need to pay high road tax every year,in case of the 3.7L,i need to pay S$3500.00 a year,& that excluded daily road pricing,we known as E.R.P..

It's just usually due to import taxes in countries. It's usually the case in the developing countries too, I can speak for India being from here - an extra 120% or so in taxes. So the price more than doubles up automatically.

But off the record, most people don't pay "double the money", they usually bribe customs officials during the import process and just flaunt to the world they drive the car that they paid 2x for. I can speak for India if not other nations.

Chan Cee Hoe,

You would be best to purchase a Zcar in the united states. Come over for as long as your VISA will allow and then store or sell the car when you are done. you would have a great vacation and get to drive without all those taxes. You would probably pay less too.

Hey if anyone overseas would like to own some US spec 370Zs... let me know.

I can export them and save you a ton of $$.

:-D

in India the z sells for around RS. 50 - 60 Lacs, which converts to around 110k USD.

When I was in bombay earlier this year didnt see any Z's but did see a GTR!! dont want to find out what the might be selling for!

As with many developing countries, the rich and insanely rich. The middle class until fairly recently is close to non-existant. This is fairly true in the Phillippines where a USED 370z can still fetch around 3.5 million P or roughly $80,000 USD. I don't think Nissan dealers there even carry the Z new. I haven't checked in a while, but that was true about a year ago.

Last I checked (when news about the Z being available for production sale in India came out, and my parents excitedly emailing me a copy of the newspaper LOL) they were gonna manufacture 7 Z's in the Nissan India plant, and import 7, so 14 overall in the country!

Nice!

I have some friends outside of London and they say the 370z is pretty rare.
