Who makes the Amazon rack, or is it a rack you bought from Amazon.com? Do you have a web link to that rack?

Thanks!

Amazon.com: Swagman XC Cross-Country 2-Bike Hitch Mount Rack (1/1/4 and 2-Inch Receiver): Sports & Outdoors

It's a knock off from a $300 Thule unit I think

Sorry to bump an old thread again, but I really need a bike rack for my Z, and would prefer a roof mounted style that does not involve a trailer hitch.

Seasuckers are out of stock, Boofsquire is apparently discontinued, and every other link posted was some saris.com website that doesn't come up anymore. Any ideas?

I'm curious if that rack from amazon I'm assuming is removable. But is the hitch you install to attach it is that removable. Would feel a bit weird to ride around with a hitch on a 370. I know I would not like the way it looks regardless.

Screw it, I'll just throw it in the back. Not having a bike rack was just a poor excuse I made to not exercise. :shakes head:

Yes the bike rack is removeable, it just fits over hitch in the back. I use it in my two cars.

The hitch isn't removable, but I have it fab'ed to a point that it is hidden.

Sweet thanks. Yeah if I can find a way to hide it that should work fine.

You have to be very passionate rider for me to ever think about putting a bike rack on a car like this. To each his own though.

I rarely drive my car or ride my bike, but the hitch has come in handy numerous of times for towing, biking and the aluminum cargo carrier is nice to have.

What size frame do you ride?

54cm. I put the drivers side seat all the way forward in order to fit the fork around the passenger headrest without the handlebars hitting the driver side, then you can move the driver seat back into place after. I keep the handlebars pointing 90 degrees to the right (or "up") while putting it in and taking out.

I think that would be really difficult for me to do with my 58 cm. I wish Boofsquire wouldn't have flopped!

I started looking for bike racks for my Z, but cant find any.. I know you guys feel it its the worst idea ever, but when you have one car, you're limited. Does anyone know where I can find a decent roof/hatch rack?

Thanks

I am a big fan of the SeaSucker mounting system. I use that to mount my trike to the car. The bike mounts with the suction cups only touching glass, which I really prefer over them attached to the paint!
