Powder Coating
 
Do you guys recommend powder coating the oem 18" rims? What u guys think?
Also anyone know any good shop that can powder coat in SD?
How much do these run?

Also what u guys think of this? This guy powder coated his rims and added some sort of red lines. what are these red lines called? anyone know how to do this?

A decent powder coat cost about $100-$150 per wheels. Takes about a good week to get it done. Powder coat is actually very reliable. Its tough and it wont fade.

The red lines along the edge of the wheel is called pinstripe tape. You can buy this in pep boys, autozone, etc and install it yourself (it takes time and precision). You can get it done by a professional but it'll cost you some $$

From what I read, the colored ring can be painted if the wheel is taped off. It might stay there longer than pinstripe tape. It's called a time attack stripe or ring.
