So I get a 370Z and my Insurance goes down!
 

So I had an 04 S2000 and was spending in the area of $828/ 6months for full coverage with the rental coverage and all. So I picked up my 09 370Z and fully expected it to shoot up a few hundred and I finally called. I get the lady on the phone and for the same coverage my cost is only $707/ 6monts. Who would have thought, Im just super pumped and had to share.:ughdance:

Verts are usually higher. Shocking I know. (had to jump on the bandwagon)

Good thing he bought a coupe instead of a the vert, then he may see the shock of going up.

I bought my Z and insurance hasn't changed. For 2 cars I pay 140 a month

My '08 350Z cost me about $35 MORE a year than my '11 370Z.

I was kind of shocked, they said something about safety features... Maybe VDC.

my insurance went up ~$40/year from the rsx-s to the z. not too bad :tup:

my insurance went up $135 a month from a hyundai elantra to a z

Mine went down, came from a 2009 Audi A4 Quattro sedan... it went down $20(6mo), and then i turned 25 and it went down some more...

That's because the insurance lady thought you had two cars. insurance on multi-car is always cheaper.

I just renewed my policy and it went down from 225 to 178 per month on the Z :woot:

It is strange. Mine went down as well. I got roadside assistance as an new thing and my rate went down $7/mo. I pay the same now for full coverage as I did on my 280Z in 1981, which only included liability.

The S2000 isn't cheap to insure. Too many Civic idiots stealing seats and crap like that. Not to mention if they tear the top and steal the seats, the common S2k is considered a total loss by insurance since seats are ~$5k each from the dealer.

I have both, the Z and S2k. My insurance premium sucks! :shakes head:

Honda tends to be stolen more than Nissans, maybe?

I remember when the Honda Prelude was the #1 stolen vehicle in America. So I'm going with "Yes" and I'm locking it in.

Yeah I have thought of most of these things. But in the end that matters is that I ended up in the car I had originally wanted and my insurance went down.
