Dealer recommends I get an oil cooler?

But I might be wrong....
I confirmed with 2 dealers that adding an oil cooler does not impact warranty. Addition of an oil pan spacer does void it -- a cooler does not. This is, of course, assuming that the oil cooler itself is not the cause of a failure.

Nissan north America refuses to issue a statement either way. Until then, it's discretionary. NNA may refuse to reimburse a dealer for the costs if they don't approve, and if you don't have it in writing, no dealer is going to eat that cost.
