Oil Change

So yesterday i was in Advanced Auto and they have a deal on 5 qt. of Mobil 1 extended preformance and a matching oil filter for 32.00 Awesome deal. So i bought it went home jacked up and Z and did my first ever oil change on any car. and it was really easy. Glad i did research from AK370Z's awesome posts .

 Always good to take care of general maintenance yourself. You learn a bit about your car and you get the peace of mind that it was done correctly.

Exactly! I have never had the urge to really "learn" about many cars I've owned but the Z I wanna know every nook and cranny. And the done correctly part for sure it seems one of the tires plus "technicians" forgot 2 bolts when putting the undercarriage back on and tightend the damn drain plug down so tight i almost broke my wrench getting it off

yah, one of the problems i too encounted a while a go on my other car is that the dealer either forgot or lost or tightened too loosely the lower engine cover bolts. i lost one as well. :(

i dont usually let my dealer do oil changes but it was free at the time and in winter so i let them do it... 'free' comes with a price. :icon14:

:( yah, that sucks. not that it's a huge deal or anything but when you see something like that you kind of start wonder the overall work the dealer did. :ugh2:

Once upon a time I did all kinds of work on my cars. All I do now is wash it. No doubt about it, doing your own work, does connect you to your car, far more.

Mine only had 6 bolts from the factory. I replaced all the missing ones myself.

hate to think that you have more bolts missing from your car.... not just the engine cover screws. :rofl2:
