Finally!!!!

Just got home from dealership. I know everyone here gets a lot of looks from other drivers, but try driving a Z dressed like this during lunchtime traffic and you will get a LOT of stares.

Probably thought it was some kinda concept car in disguise!

Drive home was great. Even though I had driven one before, the first time the SRM kicked-in I had a little panic attack, but after two more downshifts, really appreciate the technology.

I have to admit I babied her the drive homw, but that was just so none of the tape flew off and get stuck on someone's windshield. Z drivers are responsible drivers.

Now for the clearmask install.....:excited:

BLAZZIN 04-22-2011 01:51 PM

lol.....congrats on the Z

Sizzle 04-22-2011 01:55 PM

Hope they didn't charge you for dealer prep... ;)

Congrats!

onzedge 04-22-2011 01:57 PM

Looks very nice. I would leave the protective film on for a while.

I would not. Just finish deflowering her, and enjoy the rest of the cars life with you.

FastPaced 04-22-2011 02:10 PM

Congrats! Driving her home for the first time is always a great feeling :)

Enjoy!

Arc 04-22-2011 04:43 PM

Congratulations! I am a little paranoid about new stuff too, but I was fine with driving my new 370Z without the thin paper film on the car. It was raining/snowing on the day I picked up my car so nothing could prevent it from being fresh off the trailer.

When the salesperson brought me to the covered lot where my Z was sitting, it was just an awesome moment seeing it there by itself in the corner of the lot.

Trebor3 04-22-2011 04:50 PM

Sweet!

Not so much paranoia (I think.) I just had them keep the film on cuz I'm installing clear bra within the next couple days. AND..... after peeling off film in garage, absolutely no swirls or micromarring, which I don't know would've been the case if I let their "detailers" prep it.

When I first saw her she was dirty and dusty from her travels, but dirty girls need love too. :yum: A wash and clay will make her pretty again!

Streetlife 04-22-2011 05:56 PM

Congratulations on the Z. I can't wait to get mine when the 2012 is released.:ughdance:

cfweber 04-22-2011 07:24 PM

That moment is almost liked seeing your new born child for the first time right after it is born---especially if you've worked hard and waited a long time to get it.

gr8-wrx 04-23-2011 08:25 AM

Congrats! Going in the garage, right? :)

Congrats on the car, looks awesome! quick question Krav, did West Herr have any other 370's on the lot?

houkouonchi 04-23-2011 12:24 PM

They did. I saw two in front, one silver (don't know which shade) and one looked like the black cherry. Silver was manual transmission with sport. Don't know specifics on BC one though. Don't know if they were '10s or '11s either. My guess is they would be '10s becasue I've seen them there for a while.

I have no idea if they got anymore '11s that came in with my car. Didn't ask.

If you're interested, work with Mike Tepenhart or Tom Staebell. They took really good care of me. Hope that helps.

Good luck.

Paid for plates and titling and all the other DMV crap at the dealer.

PapoZalsa 04-23-2011 08:49 PM

So the dealer didn't prep the car? Sometimes is better that way...

Lemers 04-23-2011 08:55 PM

Nice car

tell me about it!, when me and my dad drove to the dealership and i saw a Silver Matallic Z sitting out front, i knew it was mine. got butterflies like no other, then when they actually handed me the keys and walked me out to it and i saw it as i opened the door of the building to head outfront....man jitters and butterflies dont even begin to explain the excitement i had ..STILL HAVE! the Z is flat out......an awesome car.

Mine came with License Plates bcause i paid for them right then so they went ahead and put the Tags on in front of me ($120)

DextRR 04-24-2011 01:20 AM

Haha very nice! Congratulations on the new ride!

I had them do interior so I wouldn't have to drive home sliding around on all the plastic.
