I understand this is somewhat normal when it's cold, but I usually let my car warm up for a good 5 min before I start driving. On top of that, even if I've been driving the car around for a good 30min or so, it still does this ;(.
I will try changing my transmission fluid this weekend with redline,

I've gotten a new clutch, slave cylinder etc from Nissan already due to a factory defect a couple months ago.

But anyways, I'll try using redline and see if this problem will still exist

THANK YOU EVERYONE for the advice / suggestions =)! Much appreciated!

Go for the Redline MT-85. My shifting dramatically improved when I switched to it.

calvin- while rolling to a stop at a light, before you completely stop clutch-in and shift into 1st gear (dont clutch-out yet as you will stall) and stop, shift back to N and clutch-out. wat this does is it aligns the collar inside the gearbox to the shifter so that the next time you shift into 1st the collar is already aligned for a smooth entry.

not being able to get the car into 1st (even after warmed up) is not too unusual, as it is just part of the mechanics. but if you follow the simple technique i noted above you should not have issues.
