Safety / Import-Problems Nissan 370Z from USA to Switzerland

Hello!

At first, many greetings from Switzerland! :-) Now to our "special" problem:

We imported a Nissan 370Z Nismo from the United States to Switzerland.

Here in Switzerland we need crashtest - and safety results for every single car to show that the car is safe.

But for the Nissan 370Z was not made any tests, because the 370Z and 350Z share nearly the same platforms (albeit modified) there is no need to retest the car in the USA.

Now we must compare the old model Nissan 350Z (it was tested at 5 Stars by the NHTSA) and the new Model Nissan 370Z, to show that both cars share nearly the same main platforms.

I need this verification of an official department or the manufacture, because i must prove, that the 370Z ist also safe, like the 350Z.

The following documents would be important for us:

- Changed / edited and shared safety / security options and features of both models

(for example Air Bag Features, Seat Belts, 4-Wheel ABS, Child Seat Lower Anchorage, bodywork a.s.o.)

- Detailed comparison of both platforms / bodyworks to prove, that the main platform is nearly the same and that the 370Z is safe or maybe safer than the 350Z

It is really important for me but the NHTSA, the DOT or NISSAN directly could not give me a helpful answer.

Is here anyone who have an idea, experience or solution for this problem?

Thank you very much in advance!!!

Best wishes from Switzerland,

Stefan

IIHS-HLDI: Crash Testing*&*Highway Safety

It has no listings of the 350z or 370z.

Interesting... how can there not be any crash test ratings? I'm pretty sure as a consumer, you would think we would have that type of information handy.

Maybe the classification is the reason?

350 and 370 are similar? really? :icon14:

i can see them saying 350 and G35C, but a 370?

Here are for example the crashtestratings of the Nissan 350Z:

2008 Nissan 350Z Crash Tests | 2008 350Z Crash Test Results & Safety Ratings at Automotive.com

The NHTSA confirmed me, that there are no US-crashtests for the Nissan 370Z... :-(

Only because of this, i must compare the safety features of the 350Z and the 370Z... This is my only chance.

Maybe i also could compare the European-370Z and the US-370Z. But Nissan USA and Nissan Europe are two different things... And now I need useful documents for this from the United States.

Thanks a lot for the first answers, people.
