4000$ to spend, what should i get.

i got 4000 to spend, I am mainly going for looks and sound. Any suggestions? =)

Masa 04-12-2011 06:18 AM

For sound I personally like AAM Competition's R-Line CBE:
Nissan 370Z

cfweber 04-12-2011 06:46 AM

sounds good

if the Z is paid for

tires

and a killer sound system

SPOHN 04-12-2011 07:38 AM

Exhaust, springs, spacers, sways, intake, test pipes, and some others for starters.

You could be the first one on the forum to beat me to buying the Fujimura Aero front bumper with Carbon Fiber accent.

Looks incredible, but the price is a staggering 2450$

I don't want to hijack this thread but IMHO this is the BEST front end for the 370z and I would LOVE if one of the replica guys picked up this front end...

I will have it on my car in the next 6 months, either way....

It looks too... porschey... kinda like I wish I was a GT3 but I'm not. I'd go zele bodykit. Pics everywhere but no one has it domestically.

I agree that it looks porschey but it works for me. Funny you should mention zele. I'm thinking this front bumper with a zele rear would look amazing....

Apparently, you haven't seen Mike's car

Exhaust without question. Intakes alter sound too.

Coil overs will let you lower the car, if you like that look.

Have fun.

TypeOne 04-12-2011 09:47 AM

Wheels + coilovers + muffler delete pipes.

You welcome.

red6spd 04-12-2011 09:56 AM

Down payment on a 5.0 LOL

Cmike2780 04-12-2011 10:10 AM

$4k doesn't seem to go a long way with our car, this is the route I plan on going, although it will probably take me a while. The amount is how much I would be looking to spend.

Performance:
-Intake & Exhaust (at least $1.5k) & UpRev ($600)
-Brakes ($1.6k-$3k)
-Coilovers ($2k)
-Wheels ($2k-$3k)
-Tires ($1.2k)

Aesthetics:
-Varis kit ($2.5K)

kenchan 04-12-2011 10:23 AM

yah, 4K wont do much. if you already have the sport wheels i'd get the spacers and an exhaust, dd HU and some speakers, some CF interior bits, call it a day. :)

That depends on what you're looking at...

I say REASONABLE parts costs a bit less...

($4000 budget)

Wheels:
$3000-3500 w/tires (Weds, used Volks, Works ect)

Coilovers:
BC Racing $1000

I think that is easily managed.

Then do the washer exhaust mod for some sound = free.

:p

Red__Zed 04-12-2011 11:08 AM

Exhaust and HFC's for sound.

Front lip and sideskirts to taste.

Possibly a used set of rims.

$4k gets you nowhere with the Z.... :shakes head:

chanchai 04-12-2011 11:18 AM

No :shakes head:

chanchai 04-12-2011 11:24 AM

hmmm then whats good a color flow other than just simple black on a silver 370

kenchan 04-12-2011 11:41 AM

chanchai- have you done any reseach on dressupbolts? they are a vendor here.

shoopajae10 04-12-2011 11:49 AM

buy 4k worth of lotto tickets.

I wouldn't do it, but it's up to your taste. Crazier things have been done.

Cmike2780 04-12-2011 11:57 AM

If by simple you mean clean, stick with black. Red looks ok. Purple just looks cheezy.

98intrigue 04-12-2011 12:12 PM

I have the best suggestion...which no one has suggested yet surprisingly.

Give me the money to me!

thats a horrible idea :shakes head:

he should totally send me the money! :happydance:

Nismo370 04-12-2011 02:28 PM

The Nismo front bumper (not the S-Tune) is the best front on the 370.

tsolin01 04-12-2011 02:38 PM

For looks and sound, definitely get cat-back exhaust first. Spacers with Springs or Coilovers will also make a big difference in looks. Don't forget to factor in installation costs if you're not doing it yourself.

I wouldn't bother with an intake unless you want to complete your performance bolt ons.

I wouldn't cheap out on Wheels/Tires so I'd save that for the next time you have $4k to spend. The same goes for a full body kit or lip kit, more if you're needing paint and installation.

Save a little more and get a SC :D

True. I would do intakes, exhaust, HFC, uprev, sways/springs. I think that should be around $4kish.

Dressupbolts are quite literal, haha. They dress up your engine bay. The vendor makes stainless, titanium, red, blue, etc bolts that replace some of the standard bolts in your engine bay.

john2plus8 04-14-2011 05:39 PM

What are you having?
