I didn't read this entire thread, so if someone already posted similar, please forgive.
I don't find more people driving aggressively around me, just different ones. When I'm in the Z, I get challenged by ricers and anyone in a sporty car, but people in SUV's and sedans tend to give me wider berth. Meanwhile, when I drive my Mazda6, the race crowd just drives by, but SUV's and sedans cut me off left and right. One thing's constant: Prius drivers act like idiots no matter what I drive. |

When I picked up my Z back in Feb. it couldn't have been more than a week old some douche college kid was riding my bumper in his Celica GTS with horrible body kit. I pretty much ignored him for a good mile and we were coming up to a turn. Mind you it was raining so I was in no mood for retarded driving especially in a week old car. I take the corner normally and I guess Celica kid thought I was too slow so he switched lanes to overtake me and ended up breaking his tires loose and hitting the guard rail and hopping the curb. If I had decided to indulge that idiot and raced him there would be a very strong chance he would have hit my car instead of the guard rail and curb. |
I really don't notice folks driving more aggressively around me in the Z. Sometimes I wonder if they even SEE me.
Occasionally I do get challenged though - last time was a Dodge Caliber. :( |

BMW's and Porshe's litter the landscape around here, and still it is rare to get one to go. Even young guys on motorcycles dont want to haul arse much anymore. I had begun to think that boys in California have all been feminized, hence their demure driving style. If anybody wants to go faster than you, please pull over. Is this asking too much? |

I'm curious if people act this way in other countries or if it's just the fragile egos here in the USA? |

I have had anything from a mommy mobile van to corvettes, srt8s, bmws, benz, cameros, gt500, gt, roush, and a few other respectable cars try to get me to play around. But i do drive fair +- 5mph of speed limit. When the "ricers" pull up and rev, flyby, or cut me off i just laugh. I only play around sometimes. And mainly with cars that i think that can beat me lol. Mainly so i know what i can go up against :) So far I am very pleased. No problem beating camero ss, challenger srt8, m3's, 335i, gto, c5 vette, etc. around that range of car. I have been beat a few times but nothing crazy. My buddy in his 2010 Mustang Gt Roush gets me only about a 1 car length at 130. Had a Gt500 role by and he beat me about a 1.5 car around same speed. But nice to know they dont pull to much after that 130 range pretty much dies out and we stick at that length lol.

Every time I paid the painful PPTs of NOVA, I thought about all the baller cars I see on the road, and how much tax revenue that has to bring in. No wonder the police force is moving to Z06 corvettes as cruisers next year. |

I get a lot of the opposite.
I'll see someone in a Civic or Celica up ahead zipping in an out of traffic like an idiot but then when I get close, they see me and like instantly calm down, like their big, angry roid rage brother entered the room... I kinda like that :) I do get some who try to egg me on, half I'm sure think they can run and others just want to hear it go and the remainder are thumbs up |

Are they using the best bang for buck supercar under $100k, the almighty M3? |
Up here in the Northwest, I haven't seen any aggression toward the Z. I had a Prius (ugh!) before, and I get treated the same way (almost) as I did with the Prius. The only difference is that on the interstate, some SUV drivers don't realize I am in the lane to the left of them when they decide to change lanes. I have done way too many evasive manouvers to avoid a crash.
