ordering from nissan

Hi guys, So I gone to a dealer last week to order a 370z touring, sports, navi. they said they don't have that car around so they have to get it from nissan, when they said that does anyone knows how long really usually takes? i am just wondering because it's been 4 days and they still don't have an answer for me.

it maybe a while, as the storm they got wiped out a lot...

I heard some rumors that new ones wont arrive till September, but they dont have the 370z on the list of cars affected, at least from the list I saw online..either way, could be a while

For what it's worth, my dealer told me the earthquake/tsunami may delay shipment for a few weeks at most.

I went through this headache last summer. Don't take the dealership's word for it. My sales manager told me that a Touring model with the Nav/Sports options together was impossible to find. I went on line from home and found three cars within a 200 mile radius in mere minutes. My dealership had to bite the bullet and bring my car in from Toronto but at least they made their sale.

And, I was back at my dealership here (Windsor ON) last week and they had two 2011 touring models with the Nav/Sports options sitting outside...go figure.

Like Sizzle said, I would suggest doing an online search at the Nissan website for the model you want.
I was a bit irrational and didn't do the proper search, otherwise I would have the car I wanted long ago. Don't bother ordering until you've done the online dealer search.

You can find many 2011's and some 2010's in inventory at dealerships all over. Drive a little and save a lot. There are always dealers anxious to make a sale and always a car to be sold. Be firm. In this lousy economy, a ready, willing and able buyer is in a good position.

I hate to sound pedantic but are you really calling what happened to japan a storm?

Depends....

If it's ground stock, it could be in the states. (1 -2 weeks)

If it's going to be built (2-3 months)

as one mentioned already, check the vendors here for inventory. id fly out to the dealership, buy the car, wrap the front and side mirrors with painter's tape and drive her home. :)

When I ordered my touring w nav, it took a few weeks. I orded it first week of Jan an picked it up in April.
