This Z is a lil too riced out for me, but you have to appreciate the time a detail he put in. Wow, anyone need a ready to go Z? lol

theDreamer 03-27-2011 06:17 PM

That is Marco: http://www.the370z.com/370z-sale/288...-one-kind.html

m4a1mustang 03-27-2011 06:17 PM

I don't know if Jesus is part of our community or not... I guess it depends on the driver. ;)

As for the car, that looks like Marco's from MRWorks. He's been trying to sell it for some time now.

I don't know... I think it looks good for the amount of money and work put into it. It's obviously built for car shows.

I saw the title and got excited for a minute :(

LunaZ 03-27-2011 06:32 PM

If Volks, what looks like a Seibon CF hood and MR Works headlights are "too riced out", then I guess the majority of the modded cars on this forum are rice.

ZeeingAround 03-27-2011 06:38 PM

Jesus is my copilot everyday. So Yes, he is part of the community.

I am a old white guy and Marco's car looks fantastic. The Only change I would do is lose the windshield sticker, but I understand why it is on his car. I don't care for the term "rice" being thrown around with little regard. For me, the word has the same derogatory meaning as "nig_ger"or "beaner". Or crack *** cracker.

SmoothZ 03-27-2011 06:56 PM

I like rice. I eat it several times a week. One could say that rice flows through my veins.

I don't think that using "rice" is the same thing as saying "jap", "nip", "chink" or "gook".

ProfessorDave 03-27-2011 07:04 PM

Personally, I am accepting of everyone in our community.

Even the stock guys. :stirthepot:

SmoothZ 03-27-2011 07:10 PM

I hate all of you. Don't take it personally. I missed the diversity and cultural sensitivity training.

KillerBee370 03-27-2011 07:17 PM

I don't think it's too "riced out". However, I do think it's a bit overpriced.

Jjaden 03-27-2011 07:22 PM

The custom fenders, custom headlights, calipers, shaved handles, and rear end are all incredible and add a LOT to the 370z in my opinion.

Having said that, I personally feel that if the hood and front bumper are too much and if Marco were to change the hood to stock and put on a more subtle front end he would find a buyer very quickly.

frost 03-27-2011 07:22 PM

The hood definitely isn't to my taste, but if it functions to remove heat, I do believe in function.

You know the word rice out is thrown so much that it actually lost it's meaning. By no means at all is this car "rice out". Personally I think it is tastefully modded. Everyone might not like the look of it but none the less it is a nice looking Z. Not like he has a plastic blower mounted to the hood to make it look like he has something he doesn't. I guess everyone that owns the amuse kit and all riced out there car then. Sorry to rant but this damn word is getting to be real annoying.

Looks ricey to me, to each their own. It would be a boring world if we all liked the same things.

christian370z 03-27-2011 09:00 PM

Uh oh, this could get interested... While it is a bit much for my taste, I wouldn't call it rice as there is performance to back up the look. IBTL.

Lol was a reply to your reply about it being riced out. This car is not riced out. Might not apeal to all but not riced out. I said that on the post above yours and how people are using the word wrong since it is a show car but has functional modifications on it and then here you come saying it's riced out lol which proved my point. The icon was not telling you to commit suicide more along the lines this thread should just shoot it self so let's not get sassy.

But hey IBTL

RCZ 03-27-2011 10:29 PM

Its alright, I wouldn't say its ricey, but its a few degrees "too much" for me.

Also IBTL! Rice of course is subjective, I still say it's too ricey for me, but it's a very nice rice. :ugh2:

Let me back Frank up and make the thread at least a little educational before the lock...

The term rice is a pejorative term that is often intended to denigrate cars which have been modified cosmetically to give a false impression of high performance, but not actually capable of it. The accusation behind this is that the car has been customized with the intent to fool people. The term is most often used against East Asian-made vehicles where the population is presumed to subsist on a diet of rice.

You sure that's what you meant to say Marco did to this car?

dixon cider 03-28-2011 12:19 AM

IBTL.

Seriously, AK should lock this down. Marco built a nice car, not a rice car. Look at his car here: http://www.the370z.com/370z-sale/288...-one-kind.html

Seems to me it is a lot more than "rice".
