While at the dealership yesterday...

I stopped in to take advantage of the TSB (posted on here!) to upgrade my NAV system. The dealership had a shiny black 2010 GTR in the showroom. They want $81K for it.

I start looking closer and realize that it's used! The tire tread is almost non-existant, there's a divot in the trunk lid and a chip in the windshield.

One of the sales reps is gushing about the car and I point out the little details I've noticed. He says that the car was only used to drive between trade shows...ya right.

Bummer, it was a sweet car otherwise.

Over priced too. 2012 GTRs are $91k. That car is two years old and needs expensive tires and some other work:wtf2:

No comment on this particular car but the 2011 MSRP on the Nissan Canada website is $101,824.20 with base paint and no add ons. Pricing of the '12 is not posted yet.

Even though the CAD loonie is worth more than the US buck right now, the car costs 10 grand more north of the border....and the freight charge is more than doubled!:shakes head:

he's talking about in the US, which has already had a few '12 deliveries and you can order on nissanusa.com (which the '12 starts at $89,950 btw, only options are the super silver exterior paint for $3k, rearview camera for $600 and floor mats for $280). the black edition pricing isn't listed on the website but it's roughly $94-95k due to the goodies you get with it (mostly the JDM SpecV wheels)

OP is in Canada.

The second poster referenced the US price. My point was to clarify that the used car the OP saw is 20k less than new not 10k as suggested by Footloose301

:iagree:

Can't compare US and Canadian pricing. You guys up north get ripped off on pretty much everything.

resale for GTR is good compared to other cars.

I bought mine for $82k (2009 premium) off the first shipment in Canada. After 2.5 years, 45k km's (30k miles), I traded it in for $71k. Saving $10k for the 370z in taxes so technically it's like privately selling for $81k. $1k loss before taxes. Not bad if you ask me.

One of our local dealers has a 2012 gunmetal GTR in the show room at $91k. I am lusting after it. My wife says that one of my Z's has to go first as we are at our car parking capacity.

Didn't look at his location, my bad. But saw the "$" sign an assumed we were just talking about American currency.

Sizzle 03-26-2011 03:49 PM

Lol, true...here in Canada we use the b to indicate currency.
